In this present age of visible body piercing's and tattoo's
which now are only a statement of body adornment,
As compared to some 30 years ago, where once tattoo's
were viewed with intrique, A Hell's Angel
might have an earing, were a signs of Rebellion,
Broadcasting that they were of the fringe element in Society,
I currently don't have a peircing nor a tattoo,
not a problem to get either ,, Dig ?? hehe
Here is something that I wanted to share , and get
your all's reaction,
I think Leather kilts are Cool, very cool,
not talking about the drafts, from below the kilt,
I live in a small town, Im 53 in good shape,
so I still have a good strong body,
I don't have anonimity like a BIg City,
When I go out in a kilt , the town is going to know
not that im important, town official , far from it,
This is very emotional to me, this idea that I would
like to purchase a leather kilt , and not keep it in
my bureau,
But go out and wear it,
Honestly ,,, im afraid, weird isn't it ??
Ive never seen a Man wearing a Kilt in these parts b4.
hehehe ,,,, Im serious in everything ive written ,
Has anyone else had a similar situation,
This isn't having a Dom tell me to wear it ,
that would be alot easier to do,
Id appreciate, not being called a girl,
unless a very Special Dom Female delights in such a thing
hehe
I don't have dressing up in Womans clothes fetish,
But it seems that i am challenging my own Masculinity,
and I seem to have to do that ,
kind of thing , to see how strong i actually am ,,,
Anyway hehe
Well peace an love Bluesmate

Last summer in the Chicago Pride Parade I wore a gladiator skirt with only a thong and fishnet hose under it.
It was a huge hit with the on-lookers, I got a lot of smooches and beads and Hollars!
It was great fun, even though I felt a bit exposed.
I say go for it and just have a good time, radiate a sense of humor!
If others don't understand tough chit, right? Maybe it will even allow others to feel like they can let go and take risks.

My big burly very hetro best friend wears a black canvas kilt I made him, it is the coolest most sexy thing ever ! He gets so much attention from women in it and even his Mother thinks he looks dashing (her words) in it. He wears it with a work shirt and combat boots and it really works well. Its isnt really a fetish item at all... sure it can be ;) but its lets face facts its butch-er than flood pants :P
Anyone calls it a skirt he just tells them to "F**K Off , its a kilt" :)
IM me if you want to chat about kilts etc

Thanks Dollbecky for your words of encouragement ,
I do think in the near future purchase a "kilt" not dress
removed it from packaging ,
Put it on
And with all my trembling Masculinity go out my door ,,
at night , a dark night, a moonless night
a night darker than ever recorded in the History of Dark nights
hehe in LOve an peace Bluesmate

Thanks, brightspot for your responce and words of encouragement
thing is once I do it around these parts , I might as well been born
wearing a Kilt, because there is a aversion and condemnation to
anything different , though the consenses is individuality,
individuality is wearing a different Logo on your baseball cap,
that kind of thing, Any way im looking forward to testing my
Masculinity,, hehe in peace an love Bluesmate

Maybe you could travel to a bigger city and wear it out for an evening.

A kilt is not crossdressing. It is cultural.

If you want to wear your leather kilt and are a little apprehensive about it, perhaps get a kilt with a traditional tartan pattern and wear it out. St. Paddy's day is coming and you could waer out your tartan for the first time then.

You'd be perfectly in fashion.

Then maybe wear it some other time, tell anyone who asks "it was comfortable, and I am exploring my Celtic herritage".

At some point YOU will be comfortable enough to wear the leather one out, and either A) you will have enough confidence to suffer the slings and arrows without worry, or B) people will be more used to SEEING you in a kilt not to question it.

I did see a fellow in an all black nylom kilt ... a utili-kilt he called it, and it did have a few pockets. Sort of a cross between kilt and military cargo-pants. very interesting.

I've met the inventor of the utilikilt on more than one occasion and that is EXACTLY what he had in mind. Hiking shorts/cargo pants/ kilt all in one. They can be found online and also at your local highland games. As a scottish lass that has gone to the highland games since I was very young, there is NOTHING girly about a man in a kilt.

The first time that you watch a caber toss and see 300# men with arms like tree trunks throwing telephone poles in a kilt and not much else you realize how manly a kilt can be.

Start out small with something that you can pass off as fashion and more comfortable than cargo pants then move onto leather kilts for private events or halloween.

Dear theRose4U,
Thanks for that alternative type suggestion of a kilt,
and I will try finding the site on the net,
and thanks for the encouragement,
This act of wearing a "kilt" is to me an act of
freedom, mostly within my own mind that wants
to limit me to doing what is "comfortable"
It isn't exibitionism to me,
it is being vunerable and finding strength to be
vunerable,
Then taking that fear,
facing it openly
and seeing it disappear,
that is what life is for me,
dealing with fear, and overcoming it,
or if not totally overcoming it, not letting it do
more than the initial shock,
which is normal human / animal fright / fight syndrome,
Which I believe is wy I find submissive/slave
mindset so interesting and varied,
because it tests me,
Shows me Darkness and Light,
Boredom and Extasy
Pain and Pleasure
ahhh hehe this is about "Kilts" right hehe
in love an peace Bluesmate

Would be fine if you wore it whilst playing leather bagpipes.

Ahem.

If you feel confident within yourself, and can creatively deal with most-likely non-creative ridicule from one or two people you will probably pull it off. Wear the ______ (Thing that goes at the front of the kilt) to let people know that it is a kilt if you still aren't sure.

Kilts can be very masculine on a man, be prepared for lots of attention when you wear it.

I was in a bar here last week-end when a group of men came in wearing kilts, loads of the girls changed seats so they could eye the men up!

Have fun with it.
