CollaredLisa -> Stories (5/6/2009 3:47:57 AM)

Recently, I had to write a story about a fantasy I had (for my Master). He liked it, but thought it was too much about things I have already experienced. The whole thing was really difficult for me to write, I do write stories quite often, but fantasies or sexual things in general aren't my thing.
Well, now that he has read the story he told me to write another one, this time about something that isn't happening at our home.
To be honest, I don't want to, not at all - have no idea what to write.
So I thought I'd ask you a couple of things:
-has anyone got this kind of task? What did you think of it
-has anyone given someone this kind of task and why?
-does anyone know where I can find similar stories and get some ideas?

DesFIP -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 3:55:54 AM)

Tell him that writing about what you have done was difficult and that you don't know how to write about what you haven't done. Ask him if he plans to use this story to make it come true, because there are plenty of fantasies we don't want to come true and if he makes it happen it may well turn out badly.

Literotica.com has stories you can read.

ranja -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 4:50:02 AM)

When i was your age i had a boyfriend who would have liked me to write stories too and like you i did not have a clue, also he never wrote me anything to illustrate what he was after and i did not have the clarity of mind to ask him...i never wrote anyting good at all for him.
Now i love writing stories, think wank fodder and just go with it, i do like imput of the person i am writing for, i need their inspiration...
and like Des said...make sure he knows it's art(ish) and not necesarily exactly what you like to do in real life.
It helps if you read a lot what other people write to get ideas, books, letters stories
I read 'tipping the velvet' a while back. that has some great scenes in it and also zomerhitte by Jan Wolkers which is only a small book, he does write sexy and is good for your Dutch too
Good luck

CollaredLisa -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 5:39:04 AM)

Thank you :)
He wasn't entirely clear if he wants to do the same thing in real life, he more said 'maybe', it depends, so I guess that isn't that big of a problem, but I'll talk to him about it.
I'll look into the stories you two mentioned, sounds promising.

DarkSteven -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 6:31:55 AM)

I think he wants you to describe a fantasy that you have, something you've wanted but are too shy to have mentioned.

So make darn sure this is something you'd like!

YoursMistress -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 6:54:50 AM)

CollaredLisa,

My online Second Life Mistress often gives me writing assignments to explore her fantasies and my own.  I truly enjoy writing them and would be delighted to share some with you, if you like.  Conversely, there are sites like literotica that are rife with stories of all kinds that could help stimulate you.  [:D]

yours

Hardbutt -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 7:11:15 AM)

Take a look at www.tpe.com and check the BDSM library. Stories have tags that may help you find stories that inspire you, and the advanced search function is useful for finding particular subjects you are interested in day-dreaming about. All creative people learn from past work, it provides a frame in which the reader can relate to your new ideas.

I find that telling the story in my head before I actually start typing is the best way to make the story flow without a lot of editing. In other words, picture the overall action before you create the details. You can dream up an experience that could have happened to somebody else and tell that story instead of telling what you would want to have happen to you. And remember that action rather than setting creates excitement, a story of thoughts and emotions rather than places and things. Places and things add to the story, but the feelings of people are what make it interesting.

Most of all, let your imagination run free! As you edit, don't judge your thoughts, just polish your words.

MadameMarque -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 7:17:14 AM)

I have, in fact, stood over someone and waited for him to hand write a fantasy of his and sign it.  Because I liked making him nervous and self conscious for revealing his desires, because the fantasies in his head were mine, not to be withheld, if I wanted them.  Because when he was finished, and I did it to him ~in my way, if he had any hope of escape, I could just remind him of the story, maybe make him read some of it aloud.

My suggestion is that you consider your own private fantasies, that genuinely got you physically excited, and see if there's at least one that you haven't done with him, already.  Will you have to fantasize a new one?

LafayetteLady -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 9:05:34 AM)

Sounds like he is looking for you to look inside yourself and think of things that you want to do, but haven't.  Just because someone writes good stories doesn't mean they can write good erotica either.  As mentioned earlier, if this is something he then wants to make reality, you need to make sure it is something that you are ok with doing and many of our "fantasies" are meant to remain that way.  In your profile, you say that you are new to this lifestyle and that you and he are looking to add a second girl to your household.  Seems like the perfect thing to write about, wouldn't you think?

I don't know what the agreement is between you and your Master. But for me, the tone of "I don't want to, not at all" would not sit well. I don't think there's anything disrespectful in communicating that this is not an easy assignment. However, is submission about what you want or is it about serving your Master? It sounds to me like He wants you to use your imagination.

heartfeltsub -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 12:44:14 PM)

Have written some stories for bdsmlibrary.com if you would like to email me at CM, i will be more than willing to talk to you about it. And most of the stories were about things that i haven't or hadn't experienced at the time that i wrote the story.

OmegaG -> RE: Stories (5/6/2009 12:58:32 PM)

I haven't been asked to write anything, but I have written as a way to communicate some of my ideas and desires.

I create charecters to make the story flow, though of course I'm always the heroine.  I've been a spy, a rebel, the daughter of a competing war lord...... OK so I like the kidnapping, non-consentual bondage interogation, being used at his whim thing.

And it's hot to reenact or to ad lib themes of the stories too.

I didn't tell him that "I don't want to, not at all", I told him that I have a problem with it and don't know what to write. I know what he wants me to do, that is not what I am asking about - I can ask him that. And I'd think that, even as a submissive, it is okay to feel that I don't want to. After all, I'm only human and being told to write first one story and then, right after giving him that one to write another one (this all happened within a week) is reason enough to get a bit upset and have those kinds of feelings.

Here it would be part of emotional transparency and the beginning of a conversation about what my problems with the assignment were and why. At the end he would either have helped me deal with the problem or decided to break it down into smaller steps so I could do it, and along the way he would come to know more about me. And I wouldn't have written a story that I meant as pure fantasy and have had him make it come true causing me distress because I didn't understand why he wanted this.

Just shows we are all different.

I have been assigned tasks of this type.
I think for me the reassurance that he just wanted to know what I came up with and that I couldn't get it "wrong" helped.
Also, he explained to me that my sharing this did not mean it would be acted upon.

Even though you don't usually fantasize, perhaps you could think of this as a permission slip to do a bit of safe exploration in that area.
Is there anything you are even remotely curious about?

It need not be complicated.
Has he ever given you a sensual bath?

This is about your feelings and not about techniques.
His pleasure will come from your genuine efforts.
Try to have fun with it.

Yes when I was first with my last Master he had me write fantasies more than once. They were difficult to write and at first I didn't want to write them in fear of what he might think of me. Then I thought back to those "bodice ripper" novels I used to love to read back when I was in my teens. Then my fantasies began to roll in . Then it wasn't so hard to write though I was no Connie Mason or Amanda Quick by far.
Best thing about writing fantasies for him was that more than once he made them happen for me. They were fantastic and even today I can almost feel the same emotions, hot feelings and needs (wants?).

~FR~
I haven't ever been given a writing assignment by my Master, but I do write erotica, and erotic romance for a living.

So, a few pieces of advise.

Try writing in third person, it distances you from the writing. Heck, give the characters names that don't resemble yours, or your Masters. Use a location you don't know, make one up, or use one you've discovered on the internet.

Hope that helps.

I'm just curious; do you not have sexual fantasies at all?

I understand that some people don't, but I just couldn't imagine not spending some part of the day daydreaming about something sexual, so I'm just curious about that.

(Could be that I'm just an old perv.)

I do have sexual fantasies, yes, though a lot of them are really unfinished - I usually start thinking about that kind of thing right before I fall asleep lol

That's a good start.

Or you could try and imagine yourself in different scenarios; like what you do if you were the ruler of the universe, the Queen of Sheba, a maid in a victorian household, etc.

What kind of relationship/s would you have if you could have anything you wanted?

Or you could try and imagine what other people might do, like if you had or have a friend who you think has sexual adventures, or experimental relationships, or the like.

I wouldn't imagine that it'd have to be polished and finished; writing in a sort of stream of consciousness way might be better.
