You state that one was sorter than the other FourQ, then mention swelling, could the half centimeter be do to swelling?

Some more human body facts:

* Human bone is as strong as granite in supporting weight - a block the size of a matchbox can support 9 tonnes or 4 times as much as concrete.

* The human brain triples in size between birth and adulthood reaching about 1.4kg in men and 1.3kg in women

* Nerve impulses travel at 180 miles an hour

* Besides water, the body contains an assortment of other substances:
- enough lime to whitewash a small shed
- enough phosphorus to make 2200 match heads
- enough iron to make a 1 inch (25mm) nail
- the equivalent in carbon of a 12.7kg (28lb) bag of coke

* Doubling a child's height on their second birthday gives their approximate adult height - a boy of 2 is 49.5% of his adult height, a girl is 52.8%

* Each fingernail and toenail takes six months to grown from base to tip
