Every time one of these online relationship/dynamic threads come up, I get a huge kick out of them.  Since the husband's coming home in about four hours, I won't use that one today.  I just have one quick question.

When clip gets deployed to Afghanistan in June, are you folks really going to see Me as an online Dominant?

What makes you think we saw you in any other way????  Other than the few threads weve chatted on...  Far all "we" know you could be the unibomber.  not that it matter what a bunch of faceless voices think anywho.

btfw babeeeee  I still wanna get you on da boat clothing optional...

Online relationships are nothing but a way for some petifiles to get off or track down victims.

Didn't we just have a thread on petifiles?  It is getting really hard to keep up here!

but, to the subject at hand:

An online relationship can be both intimate and meaningful and allow some people a kind of freedom and learning process that they may never have otherwise achieved,  and that is a good thing.

While it is very righteous to disdain online relationships, the reality is that any relationship that is satisfying  to  somebody is, in most  cases, far more desirable than nothing at all.

Fitznicely -> RE: Online Relations (5/7/2009 5:56:57 AM)

It comes down to expectations.

In RPG's I'm anonymous and intend to stay that way, so the limits of involvement are drawn there.

Were I to start realtime chatting or camming with people from CM...well, I'm not so anonymous on here, so it's not so limited.

Following thru to making an in-the-flesh meeting? I don't know. I guess if the circumstances are right, I'd be up for it...

i suppose my online/long distance relationship Daddy would be considered as a success and in August we'll be celebrating 3 years of togetherness. He's beyond the bff in my life ...i look to Him as the Father i wish i had growing up. my real one was never around in my life though living under the same roof. we never had (and possibly never will) a father-daughter relationship in which i could turn to him for advice. Daddy has been there when i've needed Him most.

i'm devoted and committed to Him until death do we part. there's no ifs, ands or buts about that. i don't need to feel Him to know how much i'm loved - there are other ways of showing how much i'm cherished and cared for. i don't get lonesome or pine for His touch - i'm not the needy / clingy type.  we both enjoy our busy, independent life and style however if i wasn't attached to obligations (work and personal) here, yes we probably would be realtime. yet i like the way our online/ldr setup has afforded me a deep meaningful relationship with someone i trust and love .

and just like any ordinary Dad, He did give His consent and blessing to marriage when my pet proposed. after all i'm His lil girl and He only wants the best for me.

Wow, sambamanslilgirl, what a wonderful story!  Some people may look upon online relationships with disdain, but no one can take away what you have.  This made me feel so good today!  [:)]

I agree totally.  The Internet invented paedophilia.  And it's a horrible place.  Every other person you speak to on here is either a paedophile, a terrorist or a filesharer.

It's like a jungle out there.  Sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under.
