So does nobody remember the tribbles?? Really?

I dare say, the Klingons are not likely to forget them... There was a DS9 episode where they went back to the original Enterprise and met Kirk....

Ah sweet![:D]

Fitznicely -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/7/2009 11:08:18 AM)

They sell tribbles in a comic store not far from me. They are silliness personified! No,they don't breed....

I wonder how bad the girl would think she'd been if I drag her to the premier of the new movie tomorrow....

Five Reasons Every Woman Should like Star Trek

DemonKia -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/7/2009 2:49:15 PM)

Aw, that was awesome, MsFlutter, thank!

I'm one of those who've always loved Trek, from a very early age. & that article does an excellent job of describing why: the vision of a functional relatively peace-focused future, the emphasis on friendship & relationship as much as on the tech gadgetry . . .. . . There are days when Star Trek is one of the few things going that gives me such sustained & consistent hope for the future . . . .

Yay! Star Trek!

Live long & prosper, nerds & geeks.

& take pride in your nerd- & geek-dom . . . . . lol

My favorite pick up line:

"You must have been shot with a phaser set on stunning..."  [;)]

< smirking >  Bravo, Otters!
I simply must see that line delivered to someone with the person speaking maintaining a straight face!

7 of 9 was fucking hot. There was one episode where (although usually completely void of emotion) she got this very raw look on her face and said do someone else "you're hurting me." So hot. I wished someone would help her get in touch with her repressed sexuality too...

Thanks Subtle...I never had a startrek fantasy before... you've helped to inspire one!

FR

Surely the best episode ever, for us malesubs -

See if this line jogs the memory:

"The give us pain, and they give us pleasure"

Strewth.  You've reminded me of Ricardo Montalban in The Wrath of Khan -
one of the 20th century's greatest ham actors

I spent most of the film laughing at his false chest.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

FriskyBiscuit -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/8/2009 6:25:09 AM)

The more repressed the sexuality the bigger the reward at its release. IF you liked that what about the original  series where Kirk and Uhura are forced to kiss...that inspired some good thoughts...lol

army101 -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/8/2009 6:36:29 AM)

Hmmmm dont think they forced themselves all that much? and Hey? where the hell are the green Orion slave girls.....huh?[;)]

Princess Bride but, golly, I can see where you'd get the two confused ;)

"I'm still trying to figure out the weird relationship between Star Trek, the Renisannce Festival, and BDSM."  -Margret Cho

You know, it's kinda odd. But I've been a Trek fan most of my life... but I just don't have many Trek related fantasies. Beats me why. (Come to think of it, I don't have many fantasies about TV or movie characters at all...) Now, I did meet Angelique Pettyjohn (Gamesters of Triskillion (sp?)) at a convention a long time back... and I had plenty of ideas about HER... but not her character.

Funny thing about the gal who played 7of9... wasn't she the wife of that Republican senator, who had a messy divorice? In the child custondy battle, it was revealed that he'd been "dragging" her to various european fetish clubs for years...  Uh-huh... dragged her to them... riiiiight....

PeonForHer -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/8/2009 12:36:40 PM)

OK, since no-one seems to remember the episode:

Kirk, Bones, Spock (plus the usual expendables) beam down to a planet in which the men are living like savages in the mountains while the women live in a high-tec city.  Kirk asks said savage men where the women are, to be met with fear.  This is when he's told "They give us pain and they give us pleasure".

The long and short of it is that the men get rounded up by the women now and then, to be used as slaves by them.  They're controlled by some remote-controlled gadget stuck in the men's bodies which induces pain.  The control is on a ring on the women's fingers.  Naturally Kirk etc get caught and turned into slaves; equally naturally, our heroic team teach this society the error of its ways.  Great fun if you're a male-sub.  Growl.

MarsBonfire -> RE: Star Trek Play (5/8/2009 2:18:00 PM)

Hummm... I don't remember that episode. The closest thing I can think of was Roddenberry's second pilot for Genisis II, called "Planet Earth." It starred John Saxon and had also cast Ted Cassidy as a big barbarian-type dude. In the pilot, the members of the PAX team are trying to find a doctor who disappeared in a region that it was rumored to have a fem-dom society. A couple of quick stock shots of the sub-shuttle later, and the guys get captured, sold off, and then (the ungrateful bastards) incite a revolt. There were also a bunch of klingony mutants running around in a steam powered station wagon...

You know, it's funny, but several of Gene's pilots has some BDSM elements in them. There was that cute scene in "Spectre" with Robert Culp, where his sidekick almost gets caught in a delicate situation involving a Domme and subbie in a house of Satan...

I tend to wonder if maybe Gene wasn't one of us.
