I dunno. I think one way to find one might be to just go to one and look at the bottom for the "Powered by" and see if that is clickable. Never know what you may find. I don't know of any sites that actually do this for people, in fact on other forum based websites, this is the only one where I have even seen a "Poll" function. (except for rating a post) I don't think it would be a good idea to acquire the software, because then you have to write everything else and most likely get hosting. I am not sure how it is now, but in the past alot of end user ISPs would not allow the running of such scripts. (Java, CGI and such) The excuse given was that they used too much bandwidth or server resouces or something like that. Personally if I got the hosting, I would just go to an online poll, save the page source, figure out what the script is and then just change the options. This might cause a legal problem though, because I don't think it would pass muster with the fair use doctrine. It depends on how big you want the poll to be. For a very small project, bending the law a bit might not be too risky, but if you want links from commercial websites they might require proof of ownership of the software. I have "stolen" two java scripts, but never modified them, had no need to. One is a payment calculator snatched from a real estate site, and the other was seperated from another site from the bottom window and allows me to get on IRC via java without any banners. All it really does is to give me more screen real estate. My answer might not be the greatest, just drawn from what I've seen and heard. But then you were sitting there with no answers, so.......... And actually I find it hard to believe that there is not one site in the whole wide world that does not do this for people. I think it is just a matter of finding them. T
