I doubt Y/you could say the whole film is about D/s but there are elements, or at least I think there are anyway-the private "club" he goes to-all the women in a big circle, a man in the middle contolling them by banging on the floor with a big staff (now I think about it, its rather phalic) when he wants them to do something-i/e kneel, prostrate themselves, or drop their cloaks. Lets see... "Matrisse" (a french film about a burglar who breaks into a pro Domme's dungeon, and gets more than he bargained for.) "Love and Human Remains" primarily a serial killer mystery, but has a really stong BDSM sub-plot... "For Personal Services" a bio film about an english madam who specialized in SM. "Tokyo Decadance" (and, depending on your definition of kink) "In the Realm of the Senses" "Shortbus" "Fur" (made by the same director as "Secretary" with Robert Downy Jr.)

In addition to many mentioned here, I like "Myra Breckinridge". The scene where Myra fucks the stuffing out of Rusty is way hot. Mae West singing "Hard To Handle" is hot in a kind of weird way. The movie is so bad it's almost good. On the non-fiction side, "SICK: The Life & Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist" is a hell of a watch. He was among the oldest living survivors of cystic fibrosis, and used art, performance and kink (not necessarily in that order) to help deal with the disease.

Speaking of "Eyes Wide Shut"... does anyone know if the original cut of the film (the one without all the CGI people standing in the way of the sex, or several other scenes removed) is available in the US on DVD?

Oh Dark Steven, Bellle de Jour, what a jewel of movie. I disagree with the above taken stance about the movie. Due to the portrait of a certain part of society and the catholic guilt problem, coupled with the way Deneuve plays her part and the strong pictures Bunel and his cameraman shooted, is the movie important.

To find a sex scene hot in 9,5 weeks you must find one or both of the actors sexy. I don*t. Joe Amati, an italian filmmaker, made a lot of soft to hard core movies, the softer ones were shown on german television late at night, some 10-14 years ago. They often had an element of force in them,, they were really hot for me. I do not know if anybody mentioned Fellini and Carlos Saura. Peter Greenaways Films have elements of S/M for me, because he always reflects about Power and man and woman.

Belle du Jour... isn't that the one where she keeps having all these submissive/hummilliation fantasies, like being given over to the coach driver...? Several of those scenes had my toes curling! Batman Returns? Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman? I don't know about you folks, but the scene where she's playfully snapping the heads off the manniquins using that bullwhip had me squirming in my seat... (in a good way!)

I actually find both Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger hot in that movie but have watched tons of sex scenes where the participants did nothing for me but what they were doing, the energy/chemistry between them, the sounds, etc. were hot. I am certain it is so for you, but for me sex scenes only function as something that makes me actually hot, when the actors or at least one of them and the story, idea, lighting, sound are fitting together and are all good to excellent. Mostly i prefer good literature and my own mind films, coming from a family of people who earn their money making movies or photographs and having studied the science of it myself, it is hard to cross that professional brigde to being spectator. I forgot Russ Meyer, and no not alone because the big breasted women.
