no its just a thought that was in my head....that i wasnt able to voice, but sorely wanted to voice it. And i think its true of all people that have this affliction

It is not so much that we "lie" to ourselves as it is that we lock away life's traumas into our subconscious. Our subconscious does NOT speak in the same language that our conscious minds do and speaks in the emotional, symbolic language of dreams and mythology. These are often the keys to the behaviours we exhibit that we can not particularly explain through conscious logic and must be dealt with in emotional and/or spiritual ways. We like to think that our conscious minds can tackle any problem and that we have developed beyong our intinctual sub-conscious mind, but in truth, the notion of conscious thought is in it's infancy. Our species has only been capable of conscious thought for PERHAPS a ten-thousand years. Our intinctual side through mamalian evolution has FAR outweighed that by a million year of human evolution (or more) and perhaps MUCH MUCH older. We can not 'think' our way out of most emotional crisis, but our conscious minds are AT LEAST smart enough to recognize when there IS a problem, and seek the appropriate ways in which to deal with it. fergus
