Out of true love, submission of your ego is natural. In doing so, thinking of His pleasures, happiness, and inner peace before your own comes easily. When the love of ownership is reflected back, the slave is elevated.  If the exchange is not balanced the loss of your ego will be depressing. If the exchange is balanced and loving and open and honest, there is no need for ego, as the two have merged into One. any of us who have been blessed to know the intensity of such a relationship knows that nothing can ever replace it, knows that it is life altering and knows that the bliss of service of the heart, body , mind and soul is completing.
 
I am a powerful woman with a strong ego in my professional life, in my private life, each day with Master is a vacation, a lifetime of vacations

your vanilla ice cream cone is in relation to the amount of posts you post to the boards. I think when you have done 35 posts it will change, for the time being your stuck with it.

Brilliant post and beautiufly said :-) I could not agree more.

I run my own business, so at work I reflect a different side of me to the one at home.
Sir is constantly on my mind, and I like to think I make him proud, he offers me
advise, but doesn't insist that I use it (though I generally do) :-) sometimes it just takes a
little time to put it to use.

I also know things, he does not, but it does not make my ego swell, maybe the things
I know, that he does not, will be helpful to him one day, heck we don't enter into this as
an empty shell. I could with honesty say my pride gets dented once in a while, but ego as
I know it, isn't in my make up.

i think i was writing in terms of the fact that we all do have an ego, we have to or we would be completely out of wack with ourselves.  the id and the ego balance us out, some people have more id than ego - and some more ego than id, few people are fully equalled out.  so that being said and the ego being the 'me' 'myself' stuff and the 'me' 'myself' stuff arguably being in conflict with our submissive temperment and nature, how that sat with people.

so far people seem cool with their ego - but i would suggest, prolly, cos theyre submissives and slaves and their ego really isnt the issue anyway cos they dont have massive ego's getting in the way of who they are.


Ahhhh thanks lally, now I'm with you :-) I'd have to say then I'm not equalled out.......shucks always knew I was different [;)]. Ego isn't a problem for me at all, as I said in another reply, sometimes (and not often) my Pride will get dented a little :-)

my ego is no more or less important than any other part of me, it is just that last part of me that i hold onto as mine, me, myself. but as owned property nothing that is perceived to be mine is mine, it belongs to my Master.

It's easy to SAY that *everything belongs to my master*.....it's also quite romantic and lovely.......but while M might have *owned* it in theory , he didn't actually GET it. We're realistic enough to know that no-one chucks everything in, in one swoop. That was just the beginning, the intent, the hope and perhaps the wish. Time sorts these things rather ruthlessly.

I couldn't have been *owned* in the way I am NOW, in the first months or years ......and I doubt I'll be *owned* in the future, in the way I am today.  The gentle trickle carves a deep groove and can direct just as effectively as huge gushes that tend to unsettle everything surrounding.
