ORIGINAL: Cagey18 No, see a just war would be one where we were actually provoked or attacked, not one where, under the "Bush doctrine", we attacked pre-emptively. We and the UN were provoked for 7 years, and we were attacked. By Iraq? (hint for ya: the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. That would be, you know, a different country) Hint: SH funded and promoted terrorism, including training members of Al Qaeda. And you of course have proof of this? Proof that somehow negates the fact that sectarian Saddam wasn't exactly pals with religious zealot bin Laden? Big fucking hint you seemed to have missed: We weren't attacked by Iraq. Even your Great Leader Bush admitted there was no connection between Saddam and 9/11. Do you have some secret knowledge that Bush wasn't privy to? quote:

And a necessary war would be one where there was an actual threat, where there were actual weapons, as opposed to "weapons programs" (George W. Bush, State of the Union Address). Then SH should have opened the country up to inspections. There is also credible evidence that there were WMDs and they were moved to Syria. Uh, Saddam Hussein did open up the country to inspections (maybe this was before you read 3 newspapers and watched several networks?). Bush kicked the inspectors out so he could bomb Iraq. He did not allow the freedom of access that was demanded in the resolutions. You dont need newspapers or TV, you can read them for yourself at the UN website. Backpedal much? At least you've now conceded there were inspections. Congratulations! Do some more research, and you might discover the part about Bush kicking out the inspectors so he could commence his bombing raids. quote:
Moved WMDs to Syria? Damn, even your Great Leader George Bush didn't tout that nonsense. He stuck to falsehoods about yellowcake uranium (until the forged documents came to light, that is). Despite Joe (who actually is the one who outed his wife) there has been no conclusive evidence that yellowcake wasnt being peddled. Uh, it wasn't Joe Wilson who discovered the falsified documents, it was our own CIA and the Italian Military Intelligence agency. The Bush administration later conceded (after Bush's fuckup in his State of the Union speech) that he never should have made that claim about uranium from Africa. You still wanna stick with that "moved the WMD's to Syria" stuff too? [8|] quote:

Nice try, but fortunately there are those of us that can read, and listen to sources other than FoxNews. It is indeed laughable that there are those still trying to defend Bush's unjust and unnecessary travesty. Not even a good try. And I read 3 newspapers and watch several networks during the course of the day. I dont get my news from the Huffington Post and moveon.org. Then how have you missed the news on Bush's travesty, that we were not attacked by Iraq, and that there were no WMD's? It may be "news" on moveon, not in the real world. Reality check for ya: those of us in the real world actually have memories. We weren't attacked by Iraq, and there weren't any WMD's. Except perhaps in the foggy memories of FoxNews devotees.
