YourhandMyAss -> Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 6:19:25 PM)

Daddy says I do, I wake up just barely enough to talk, not even really awake yet start talking and then will fall asleep mid sentance.

One night I was even sleep berating him lol. I was in bed falling asleep and I said Daddy please come to bed I am sleepy, fell asleep and then later started waking up just enough to talk but not be fully awake and calling for him. Then when he got into bed  I fell back asleep but while asleep was telling him that he promised not to let video games get in the way of important stuff and I'd been waiting 2 hours and if he spent all night on the video games again instead of in bed I'd hide the video games.

He didn't say anything he knew I was asleep, but in the morning he ribbed me pretty well for it, and now it's a joke around here, he immitates me  starting to say something then will pretend to pass out and snore, because I often will go back deeper asleep and stop talking in mid sentance.

It'd be like Daddy I am cold I need a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ* back to being asleep*

never talked in my sleep though my whole family does ive been woken up because i was screaming though before lol woke up eveyong around me....my current(one im under concideration with and will be moving in with next week) says that talking in your sleep is a sign that your easily hypnotized. that you have a suggestable mind hehe

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 6:32:02 PM)

Well I have never been hypnotized so I wouldn't know about that but power of suggestion, on a tv add or something yummy does work well one me. Likme one night about 10:30 an IHOP commercial came on and it sounded really yummy, so for the end of the night I was mondoly hungry for IHOP's food in the add lol.

lol commercials usually work the opposite for me that jack in the box commercial makes me feel like burger king and burger king like jack in the box  but im not very suggestable and he still managed to hypnotize me while i was sleep deprived lol

Hi, yhma,

My whole family does talk in their sleep, including my grandparents, though i don't think i do (or mom, for that matter).  My dad and my grandfather (my dad's dad) have both said some odd (and they've come to be an inside family joke, too) things to my mom and my grandmother, respectively.  The phrases that most easily come to mind are things like "Shall I howl?" and "I catch trains with the hole in my back".

And yeah, if there's something like a tv commercial i remember, or some odd little detail in my day-to-day life, i'm sure to have it (or some part of it) featured in a dream later that night, too.

kuriouswitch -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 8:21:15 PM)

I talk in my sleep, usually just enough to make it come out more like mumbles but I've done it and woken myself up and most family members refuse to share a bed or room with me because of it. Master says I whimper in my sleep too lol.

mdr080480 -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 8:24:09 PM)

I've been told that I do. One time I was informed that I was arguing with someone in my sleep... no idea who, but I was rather loud, and clear.

silvermuse -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 8:56:27 PM)

~FR~

Apparently I do. Normally when I'm working on a new story and the characters are arguing.

Master has woken me up before now to tell me what they've been arguing about...

I don't know if I talk in my sleep or not. I didn't used to, but now live alone and there is no one to listen if I do talk. HOWEVER...In the last year or so I have developed a habit of basically acting out my dreams. If I dream I'm petting the dog, i'll wake up and be strokng the pillow. If I dream I'm drinking a glass of water I'll wake up as I'm setting the glass down only to find that I am going through those motions with my hands...and even after I wake up I have to finish the motion of seting the glass down that I started in my sleep. This has happened numerous times. I've never walked in my sleep, though both my brother and sister did when they were younger. I just hope I don't pick that up!

soul2share -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/8/2009 10:27:05 PM)

Not only have I been known to talk in my sleep, but I can carry on a completely LUCID conversation!  Once, one of my supervisors called to ask if I could come in early to work, and I said, "sure, no problem!"  Well, I'm always early anyway, but was actually 30 minutes past my expected time...they were just about getting ready to have cops check my route in to work to see if I'd wrecked someplace....I lived out in the sticks.....I told all of the supervisors after that to call me, and if it sounds like I'm still asleep, or they wake me, to call back in 5 minutes and make sure I'm awake!

My sister and my son both walk.......my sister was once outside yelling at our Saints to shut up....stark naked, 16  years old....my dad heard her yelling, and went out and herded her back into the  house......told Mom she should talk to her about wearing pj's to bed at night.  She ate an ENTIRE pound of balogna in a sandwich one night in her sleep...ot this day she still can't eat it!

[8|]  Why am I not surprised to hear that from holly?

And yes, I've walked and talked in my sleep. Once, I was in a crash course for US History in college and staying with a friend. She and another friend had great fun at my expense for years after because apparently I came out late one night and started re-enacting the professor's entire lecture, complete with gestures and bad jokes. My friend had just taken the full semester course from the same professor and still had her notes so she knew I was saying it verbatim. Other times I've had entire conversations with people with no memory of it. Once, my ex came in to talk with me after I went to sleep and when I started  answering him in completely non-sequitor answers and a bit of babble, he looked at me and said "you're still asleep and don't know what you're saying, huh?" He told me the next day that I looked him straight in the eye and said "well, yes, dumbass!" and fell back asleep in bed.

I've walked in my sleep looking for a cheeseburger and milk shake according to my father. Lumus enjoys telling me about the little kitty noises I make while sleeping, little chirps and meows. So embarrassing....  [&o]

[sm=dunno.gif]  I just wished I could remember it. I hate hearing all these great stories about things I've done or said and have absolutely no memory of them. (Especially calling the ex a dumbass to his face!)

YourhandMyAss -> RE: Who else talks in their sleep? (5/9/2009 9:17:37 AM)

I woke up sobbing this morning, twice, after a very pitiful dream. Daddy never notices when I wake up sobbing, I guess it's not a loud enough occurrence to wake him.

I have been known to talk in my sleep.  When I was in college, I was cramming for an accounting exam, and my ex-boyfriend told me I was talking about accounting in my sleep.  Another time, when I woke up in the morning, the first thing out of my ex-fiance's mouth was "Who's Rudy?"  I told him it was a guy I worked with.  He wanted to know exactly what was going on between Rudy and me, since I said the name "Rudy" in my sleep.  I told him the truth (nothing), but I think he still had his suspicions.

One of my former subs would talk in his sleep all the time.  You could actually engage him in conversations for a while, but then he'd wake up.

I don't know...because after all...I am...asleep...

but I remember about 16 years ago where in the morning my parents both came to me seperately asking if I found my belt...I had no clue what they were talking about and they said I came during the night and was looking for my belt [8|]
