Lockit, sometimes kneeling is just practical, rather than D/s. I guess you can kneel in front of DarkSteven to do CBT or cuff his ankles to a spreader bar.

In all seriousness, I know several poly people who have Dom/Domme relationships that work very well for both of them - they have another person/other people who submit to them.

I actually went for years without thinking I could possibly submit, though I did do some bottoming (mostly in switchy relationships, sometimes exclusively). I was very surprised the first time I reacted to someone submissively, and ultimately, he wasn't offering what I wanted/needed in a relationship. I was actually pretty happy with my first Dom in my last relationship. I still identified as a switch, just as *his* submissive, even though I wasn't actually playing as a top at all (while we were together). I had some nervousness going into it, but we discussed things, and were able to find a structure that worked for both of us. I'm certainly not saying anyone else can be converted, or suggesting that anyone try it, and that particular dom (in the OP) just sounds like a jerk.

I've been forced by nominally vanilla partners to play 'dom' at times. They never returned the favour - which I thought was selfish of them. (God, what a headache you can get thinking about those two sentences!)

Anyway, if I can do dom, you can do sub, Lockit. On yer knees, me darlin' !

That could actually be amusing, you know 2 people who are submissive will have to fight out who's allowed to be the subbie, this could be really interesting, especially if you make it a game, the one who manages to wrestle down and tie the other up is then allowed to be the sub. So both would kinda have their reward...

Kinda going back to the original topic. I don't think one is "turned" submissive but even as a dominant person, it's possible to find someone who is more dominant than you are. So perhaps you are submissive to that one person and dominant to everyone else? More like a hierachy type, a continuum rather than drawing a line in the sand and saying Dom/mes on one side and subs on the other. I wouldn't say some CM "slick" is more Dominant than you are, you seem pretty tough :D

I can totally get finding yourself feeling a bit submissive to someone you KNOW is more dominant, wiser, smarter... whatever than you are! Been there, done that... but I know me as a whole and it doesn't last for long. I simply cannot live submissive. Some small part of me might feel a flash of it but it is only a flash. I have tried it. It doesn't work!

But it is one hell of a man who can bring that out in me! lol

Not that I know a damned thing about 'that dominant feeling', but something like that would be my first guess as to what might explain doms coming onto/challenging dommes. (Or indeed some dommes doing the same with other dommes.) I guess one's feelings of dominance can grow to that size at times - and perhaps even stay that size . . . .

Meh.

I am trying to remember the last time a dom came on to me with anything resembling seriousness... my friends and I have our little "I wish" society, but for REAL? I don't think any of the locals would even *think* of it. I gather it's a bit humiliating when a woman falls over laughing at you in a public place...

I am not turned on by the ego attitude.And my guess is he has "turned" some as Ive met lots of female DOMMES that did not understand Power Exchange themselves and were not truly DOMME but wanting to be in control of their own lives,sad but true!
