Lockit -> RE: Fake Police got me (5/9/2009 11:37:53 AM)

It isn't rocket science to be able to determine the scammers and I see no reason why we need monitors watching over us and exposing who they perceive as fakes. I can really understand the urge to want to warn people of someone you have experienced and know to be doing certain things, but you just can't do that! I got pegged and reported this last week as well, but my zip code was correct. So it left me wondering if his was! Or if it was a problem in the system. No way is PA 51 miles from MO. LOL.. yet I was reported. That is a bit scary because with a certain amount of reports, your profile could be gone or you can't use it for a time. I cannot believe how many are slandering people by name in their journals and the arguing that goes on between journal one and two...lol But, if people report their entry... yes, in a form of policing, but also helping those that work for CM to know what's going on, I think we will have less people policing in a way that is wrong. In going with the rules and naming people in a journal... I have no problem with reporting the person. (I won't do it every time I see it... only in extreme cases where there are list basically) That is the only way I can see these police being stopped... by I guess policing them. I don't plan to seek them out, but when I see it, I might just report it. I looked at a number of those list and that is where I summed things up for myself. I saw a number of people I knew were not fakes. Some of those guys were actually doing nothing more than going around looking at profiles and creating their list. Some even had names or claimed with a link who they were.. like... fruad finders.com
