You conduct your postal business via a hole in your pants?
Was that a special delivery?

And they double as a dishwasher as well.

Oddly enough G2 I was thinking about getting an active RFID system linked to the garage door opener with the trigger being the flash button on the bike.  The issue would then be turning the alarm off in the house before opening the garage door, so by getting the right alarm system (£1,200/$1,750) and linking the whole system up to the home automation server I could flash the lights at the garage, disable the alarm, open the garage, turn the lights on in the house and unlock the front door.  Sixty seconds later the garage door would close.
If I still drank coffee the perculator could spring to life, I could have the TV turn on if I wanted to, have music play, you get the idea.

Keeping security in mind, if the bike was ever nicked a simple e-mail to the BMS server would delete the bike's RFID tag number from the system meaning they might get the bike but nothing in the house.

Of course, as VND says, I still couldn't get blown.

(All of this is available today).

I know, I have the automated house and I'm busy tying in passive RFID (as opposed to active RFID as explained above).

The first RFID project is going to be used for access to the house - a typical RFID use.  This would allow family to come and go at will, close friends and my doctor can come and go as long as I'm in the house, most people can come and go if I'm in the house and awake, while others are restricted to the above and a predetermined time.

GT already has a tag for when she gets over here, that way when she and Pirate come up to visit they can let themselves straight in the house.

It's five to ten years time I'm curious about, Little Og's mobile phone can track his whereabouts and publish the Long/Lat online, and the phone's over twice his age!

Hahaha, good point. Brings a new meaning to the whole postal concept doesn't it? I guess it depends on where the hole was as to whether it could be used for special delivery or not  [;)]

I like my garage door opener, it is a 1/2 horse power, and it has a special attachment, my dad used a vice grip to hold part of it together. That is not something everyone can say.
