Magnum

The Desert Eagle is a large-bore gas-operated semi-automatic pistol designed by Magnum Research in the U.S., and manufactured primarily in Israel by IMI (Israel Military Industries, now Israel Weapon Industries). Manufacturing was moved to Saco Defense in the state of Maine from 1996 to 2000 which carried the XIX designation, but shifted back to Israel when Saco was acquired by General Dynamics.[1]

totally stole that from wikipedia LOL

Mystic had it first, however I cannot award points as listed in the 1st post use of wikipedia and search engines is against the rules except when posting a dispute to an answer

Next Question
"Grease" is the longest running musical on broadway, this musical about a Jewish Family in Tsarist Russia is number 2, what is it?

How about about a question on cooking? I love to cook! lol

withdrawn because G2's answer came in before my edit

MasterG2kTR -> RE: Trivia D vs. s, Game-VI (5/9/2009 5:48:28 PM)

Sally Ride

Vaughner -> RE: Trivia D vs. s, Game-VI (5/9/2009 5:49:47 PM)

Sally Ride was the first American Woman, but not the first woman.  (The russians put a woman in space before the US, so that they could hold both distinctions of first man and first woman)

Current Question
Who was the first woman to travel into space?
Expires: 9:30PM EST

mystickoolaid -> RE: Trivia D vs. s, Game-VI (5/9/2009 5:50:44 PM)

ACtually a Russian(?)  with an impossible name was the TRUE first woman in space. Sally Ride was the first AMERICAN in space.

Edited to add:

Her name was Valentina ...blahblah... I have no idea on the spelling of the last name

BitaTruble -> RE: Trivia D vs. s, Game-VI (5/9/2009 5:51:22 PM)

Oh oh.. Terreshkova? ::does spelling count?::

Vaughner -> RE: Trivia D vs. s, Game-VI (5/9/2009 5:53:07 PM)

Spelling does not count with something like that, just needed the last name.

Bita got it right, Valentina Tereshkova on Vostok 6 was the first woman in space.
