Bossy, me? Just because I told half a planeload of people to SIT DOWN!... and they all did. Seriously, bossy? Moi?
Okay, what really happened... we were about to land in Phoenix. And when I say "about to", I mean, I was practically reading license plate frames in the airport parking lot as we passed over. In front of me was a short person who apparently had to go to the bathroom. So the tall person with her tells her, "go ahead, it's in the back." Short person stands up.
Me: "Sit down! We're landing!"
Tall person: "But she has to go to the bathroom."
Me: "We're LANDING."
Short person sits down and buckles up. Then we land. As soon as the wheels touch down, short person stands up again and steps into the aisle. The flight attendant comes on the speaker and says in an urgent tone, "everyone sit down! Buckle up and buckle up your children!"
So short person sits down again. I'm surprised she didn't go flying forward as the plane was hurtling down the runway. Jeez. I lean forward and tell her, "I will take care of it, just be ready when I tell you and listen to me, okay?" Tall person says nothing, short person says "okay."
So we taxi to the gate. We get to the gate but they are fiddling with the jetway. So I tell her, "Unbuckle, but don't stand up yet. When I say "go", then stand up and run to the back to the bathroom."
As soon as the "fasten seat belt" sign went off, everyone on the plane that has an aisle seat stands up and steps into the aisle. I stand up, look back, and yell at them, "SIT DOWN!"... and they all did. I said to the short person "GO" and she ran back to the bathroom. Everyone at the back of the plane is still staring at me, so I said, "it's okay now" and they stood up.
When the short person was done, I said loudly, "LET HER THRU" because people weren't listening to her politely say "excuse me" trying to get back to her tall person.
