Hello ladies (and gents) just a quick question-I'm considering putting a picture of Me,Myself and I in My profile. I thought it might make it a bit more interesting for P/people to see what the owner of said profile looks like as and when T/they pass through.

Do you, as submissives or slaves care whether or not you know what someone looks like as and when you look at their profile?. I can't decide whether its worth it or not and since you're My "target audience" I thought I'd ask your opinion. Ty.

I think it is a personal choice.  I don't have a pic on my profile because of problems I have had with my ex husband, he stalkes me online all the time.  He is trying to use my choice of how I choose to live against me, and makes me an unfit mother to our children so he can get out of paying his child support.  He has tried it twice and thankfully the courts decided with me, (my private life is my choice they told him).

As for someone else placing a pic on their profile, that should be totally up to them.  If I talk to someone long enough and wish to see a picture I ask them for one, and I will always send one back if asked.   Personally I don't care what a person looks like, but I know there are many people on this site that are completely interested in looks.

Just my two cents, not worth anything except to me

Depends on your reason to put it up.

Mine is up just because I like it as an avatar.  If I'm going to talk to someone of interest to meet, then I would exchange more detailed pics with them on a private basis.  But I'm not on cm looking for a partner, so I don't bother putting them on the profile.  If there was a way to have my photo on this side as an avatar without having it on my profile on the other side, I'd do it.  But if you're here looking for a partner, sure putting a pic up will increase the attention and email that you receive.

Thanks. Good point, I'm not looking per se, not online, anyway.

I've been called a fake because I didn't have a pic up and one disgruntled Dom sent Me a pretty abusive email because I didn't send him a pic--so consider that you may appear noted in a thread as a faker if you don't--or an ewwww WTF if you do--its a no win prop.

Though that skull was always pretty creepy--but hey maybe that is what you really look like.

Lmao I chose the skull because I thought it best suited My "username", I wanted to design My own but can't find the right software and I can't draw either! lol. I'm glad you found it creepy-that's what I wanted. As for what I look like, I'd like to say I'm better looking when in reality, I'm just fatter!.

I understand what you're saying about "fake" if you don't and "eww" if you do. Rock and a hard place.

I guess he would have been much happier if you would use a picture you copied from a dating site or something like that, duh

But back to the OP question, a pic will get you more views, a lot of people will not even look at profiles without a pic. While I'm actually not looking for a partner, when I do look at somebody's profile, an idea who I am talking to is nice, but also be a bit cautious because somebody can just stumble over your profile, create an anonymous email account and then mail your friends and family... (has happened to somebody I do know)

-That- is what really bothers Me-I've heard that sme companies look for employees online and that can be really bad for business, but I got told off a bit by the mods today about a picture I uploaded, part of what they said was that you can't abscure your face for "privacy" reasons, but I've seen some that are a bit obscured so I'm confused.

I was thinking about putting my pic up then i met my Master and he asked me not to. Also in my job as a nursery.pre school teacher i don't want any parents stumbling over this site. I am not ashamed of my lifestyle but some people are funny about that. I think the rose is pretty anyway which is the other reason i have it and not my picture up.

On a friendly-level, I don't care what the person looks like & I don't need picture of them on here.
If I'd be lookin for somebody relationship-wise I'd prefer a picture, but that's mostly because otherwise when you scroll through profiles it jumps over the no-picture profiles.
On the other hand I'm shallow so I'd jump over a lot of profiles and would probably miss some great people due to their picture...which maybe wouldn't happen if I got to know their personality first...

Well, you can play around with lighting and all that, or crop the picture so your face is not in it....

I'll send you a CMail

I decided to use this one as an avatar here.
My face is in shadow so it's a nice balance between vanity and decorum.

"Huh, somebody must have found my pic online somewhere and used it."  Denial can be a great thing. Or come out, no time like the present. As far as employers go, that should be none of their business. If they fire you / don't hire you based on an online profile, isn't that discrimination?

Anyway, I have the same pic up on like three or four different forums, and I've never been bothered by anyone. I have it on this one so people can know what I look like. I'm not looking for anything here really, but I notice I get more profile views and emails when I have one. Whether or not that's a good thing for you is up to you. I know it is for me *shrug*

I have found a much emptier inbox due to not having a picture up, but I have also found those that do contact me are usually of pretty high quality as people.  To me, it's a trade off.  I am not saying quality folks are not drawn to profiles with photos, but that photos will draw a lot of the more superficial audience automatically.  It really depends on how much time and energy you have for the fishing expedition.  I still get plenty of views and contacts mostly from my activity on the forums.

Good luck!

No, I aint looking, I just wondered if people thought pictures on profiles were useful to have, so the attention, while nice, isn't a big deal cos I go to r/l things and get attention there lol.

Not that kind of attention btw, I just mean people see Me and I talk to them, that kind of attention. :)

If they do give that as a reason for firing you, yes, you might even have a case, but do you think they will? There will be other reasons and nothing like a bit of mobbing...

As for coming out or having to deny something, I think that is up to the individual and why on earth go through such great length to having to deny or out yourself? It's a private thing, I don't want to rub it into anybody's face but I don't want to walk into a meeting and get snickers or have people at work talk about what I'm in... Hence the mask...

Ah well, anything that hides the face works

But it was just a simple way of not being completely "out" there to anybody who's casually browsing, then there is also the added factor that I like masks, it goes with the outfit and I have this fantasy of being Catwoman and letting Batman have it...
