Yes,truly an inspiration.

The thing with Bush is that he had comic potential. Palin just has wanking potential (for true perverts, that is). Maybe a coffee-table book, with semi-erotic nudes... I can foresee a market for that amongst a certain kind of young Conservatives.

Oh, come on now, Sarah has plenty of comic potential.

Did you miss the interviews with Katie Couric?

Not to mention the laugh riot when she was interviewed by Charlie Gibson.

I love Groucho...and of course the rest of the zany brothers.

You mean Jeb and Neil?

Maybe she should get a domestic terrorist to ghost write it for her, who knows? She might end up President that way.

Not me, I wasn't worried.  Despite the media's portrayal of the election being a close horse race, in reality Obama was ahead in electoral vote count since mid-April.  And by early October, it was all but impossible for McCain to win.  The results on election night were just as the polls predicted (save for the swing states, which went mostly in Obama's favor).

When the networks called it for Obama at 9:45 pm ET, it was all over.  It was just a formality to wait until 11 pm to declare Obama the winner, since it was a given that the west coast would go for Obama.  But of course they had to wait until the polls closed for the west coast.

*Blink*. Are you saying that the media wasn't perfectly NEUTRAL? *Blinkblinkblink*.

Hee.

Plus of course, they always prefer the easily-digestible "51% to 46%" over "220 electoral votes Obama, 186 McCain, 132 tossup".  Think of how many of their readers look only at the Sports section.

awmslave -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/14/2009 10:39:47 PM)

Obama was running against McCain as I remember. S. Palin was (in my impression) much brighter figure than Democrat VP candidate.
Certainly her book will be written with the help of "ghostwriters". The last is much more common today as it may seem as it is kept as quiet as possible (although highly publicized in Ms. Palin case for obvious reasons). I guess Ms. Clinton had a team of writers for her book.

Huh?  Hence my reference above:

You do realize that Palin was McCain's running mate, yes?  And that there was widespread concern about her, due to McCain's advanced age and health history?

awmslave -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/15/2009 2:54:43 PM)

Palin is feared by Democrats. I wonder why? Personally, I like her being around. We need a little common sense to slow down US self-destruction.

What color is the sky in your world awm?  Palin is welcomed by the Democrats.  We could only be so lucky as to have her be the GOP nominee.  Her level of ignorance would stain the GOP beyond what Bush has already accomplished.

Not that it'll happen, of course, but it would be both a laughfest and a major trouncing.

awmslave -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/15/2009 5:06:05 PM)

Who are the Democrats you are talking about? I see Democrat run media smear campaign against her. I doubt she will run for president.  She is clearly not a presidential material.

Again, what planet are you on?  She is guaranteed to run in 2012.  Do you read the news?  But at least you've caught on that she's not Presidential material.  Congratulations!  Sadly, Sarah herself hasn't picked up on that yet.

And of course, the Democrats (who, doncha know, support Obama for 2012), are thrilled with the idea of her further eroding the national joke that is currently the Republican party.

I guess if "truthfully reporting the nonsense she keeps saying and doing" is a smear campaign in your world, well then so be it.

Yeah, I like her around too.

I'm only hoping that you take our deep fear of her to heart and make her your nominee in 2012.

awmslave -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/15/2009 6:31:02 PM)

I would recommend her to become a senator. It can be done. Run against Obama will be very difficult for anybody in 2012.

She is the village idiot. Maybe she and her daughter can work something with the abstinance folks...[:'(]

HatesParisHilton -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/16/2009 3:49:11 AM)

I'm assuming the first draught will be written on orange construction paper using those real thick wax crayons reserved for the Kindergartners that still sing the Barney tune when "teacher isn't watching".

And Palin will deliver said draught while riding in the back of "the short bus".

lazarus1983 -> RE: Sarah Palin tyo write autobio.... (5/16/2009 6:29:07 AM)

The sad thing is that I can see her being a viable candidate, riding on the anti-intellectual wave that grows stronger every year in this country. According to her, it's the damn intellectuals that are the problem, they're the one's mucking it all up, and they need to step aside so common sense folks can set things right!

And when asked at a Town Hall debate how he would solve America's problems, McCain responded that he would gather the brightest minds and smartest people in America, and listen to them.

Hmmm...Idiocracy predicted the downfall of America.

Where did it come from? According to "lazarus1983" perhaps. The problem with intellectuals is they do not get sufficiently involved.
Corruption is the real problem. Common sense folks (who are not necessarily uneducated) can maybe help out here. Washington plutocrats need to be restrained.
