1. You're looking for Dom men. So why are you posting in the Ask A Mistress forum?

2. The quick answer is yes, Doms (and Dommes) can be bisexual. The more in depth answer is, if they're bi and in a relationship with you, does that mean they'll need to involve a man as well? If poly is a hard limit, this could be an issue.

3. Don't believe anything else your gf says about the lifestyle unless you check it out first.

I believe your girlfriend is mis-informed. But, I am never a beliver in the 'one twue way' of twue doms and twue submissives etc blah blah freakin blah.

As long as you live this lifestyle Safe, Sane and Consensual you are free to CHOOSE your own way of TRUE and REAL aspects in your relationship.

Why listen to what someone else thinks? What really matters is what you think.

If you are not comfortable with bi-sexuals, then, that would not be a 'true' dominant for you, now would it?

True Doms always carry a current "True Dom" card with a proper seal and currently dated stamp on it.

Your girlfriend has no clue what she's talking about and is trying to pass her opinion off as fact. There is no such thing as a "true dom" based on sexual preference.

someday i'm going to see another one of these "true" threads and pop a cork in my head! honest, we don't have a union, a secret handshake or a pension fund! i've stopped reading profiles after all the "looking for my true dominant" crap i've read. too many people reading fictional bdsm these days.

Of course they can, Dominants come in all varieties. I am bisexual and I most certainly am Dominant. There are many of us here that are, all you need do is look around. A person's sexual orientation has nothing to do with their Dominant nature.
