first and foremost, i would like to say hello and thank you for allowing me to post here. i am a little confused about the feelings i have about living the lifestyle. i know there is something in me that likes it and i love to feel the pain. i am married and introduced my husband to the lifestyle and he seems to want to live it too. well heres my problem. i try to communicete the things i lie and don't like and he says that a true submissive submits to whatever the master wants. is that true? and second sometimes i just want to be normal and have a romantic husband to wine and dine and treat me like i'm of importance to him. is there something wrong with me? can you guys give me some kind of input to what i am doing wrong. thank you again for reading my posting

Could it be that you are not a submissive but a masochist?

*laughs* Join the club. I distinctly remember feeling 100% adrift when I first ran into this.

What do you think? IN your entire life, have you ever seen anyone who had no preferences, no desires, no nothing? They would be happy and fulfilled doing whatever? Yeah, I didn't think so. Neither have I. And, for that matter, if you introduced him to the lifestyle, where does he get off telling YOU what *struggles not to laugh* true submissives do and don't do? There are nuances here and we could talk about the word slave as opposed to sub some time... but the short answer is he's wrong in either case.... just a bit less wrong for slaves.... or at least my definition of slaves.

*sighs* ONLY in the BDSM community do people ask what's wrong with them because they like love and romance. Just for the record, an awful lot of the human population likes those things. Really, you'd have to call it kind of 'normal'.
Take a look at Dhavan's quote in my sig... that pretty much describes what we have and something similar to what you want (at least in this aspect). Saying that I am in charge is not even remotely the same as saying that I don't care what my wife thinks/feels/wants. I expect my wife to obey in all things all the time... and she does... and for exactly that reason, she is even MORE important and wonderful and special to me, not less.

It sounds to me like you two are working off of web pages. You need some real knowledge. Try some books on amazon or local munches is my advice.

I do find it interesting that you introduced him to the lifestyle and he already knows what a True Submissive is.
