I've been thinking of hanging up my traveling kit for a while. Running all over the country isn't the fun it used to be, and there's a lot of great young talent that needs a chance, so I'm retiring. The presentations I made at this weekend's Sinsations In Leather will be my swansong. That's allllllll, folks

Next stop Dom-Flavored Soylent Green.

I'll still post, but if I travel to events it will be just as a private individual.

Rest well, Kevin

I've heard that the private life is more fun anyway. [:)]

Your public will miss you, but enjoy your retirement! You've earned it.

I'm playing the Looney Tunes theme (Eine Kleine Nachtmusik) on the keyboard for you. You just can't hear it.

Other than the actual travel part, this probably doesn't have any particular relevance to your situation, but let me just say that I used to travel all over the country and Central America until 9-11.

It used to be nice to get to the airport thirty minutes before my plane was leaving, run through the airport{Like OJ} and hop on aboard with my carry-on bag leaving a few minutes to spare, but with all the waiting and security bs, it's really a hassle and not worth it anymore.

Anyways John.... you're probably better off in Florida until hurricane season, then you can always take a jaunt up north and visit the Big Apple ;}

Yup, the hassles of air travel are a big part of it, but I don't be leaving Florida during the hurricane season if I can avoid it. There's too much of an advantage to being boots-on-the-ground when something breaks loose.

I am glad you will continue to keep posting since I have always enjoyed reading yours. Anyways there is no need to go flying off anywheres with all the fun stuff that goes on right here at home in Florida!

I'm glad to hear that you'll still be posting. I've come to enjoy your typically perceptive, astute, and eloquent posts.

Whilst it is a pity in the fact that I was hoping that at some point you might have traveled over the pond and I'd have loved to attend. You have to put your own happines first and when something like that becomes a burden then it is time to consider your options.

Whatever you decide to do John, heres hoping you enjoy it.[:)]
