Why should the presumption of innocence come in to play with someone who enters my home without my permission with the intent to do me or my loved ones harm? You yourself just said you vowed to acquit anyone of a non-violent crime, so clearly you don't care about the laws yourself, bub. You see, when you're on a jury, you have a DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY to find the person guilty when the facts of the case warrant it. That is a juror's job. You just said you thumb your nose at that, so I don't see a need to presume the innocense of the person who enters my home without my permission and with no prior warning.

So...you vote to acquit the poor non-violent drug dealer who was selling drugs in front of a school. Good for you! He walks,but the next child he sells drugs to overdoses and dies. Sad, but hey...you are a citizen, a registered voter, and it was your right to acquit.

Or.how about.the non-violent home invader you acquit? The next time he breaks and enters he finds that the homeowner was asleep. A struggle ensues and the homeowner loses his life. Shame, but WTF...you made your form of protest, right?

You yourself have a police record. I pray that it will keep you off of a jury.

Jury nullification refers to the injustice of a law. In non-violent cases, most times juries do not have anything to do with sentencing, which appeared to be your main problem. You therefore (by your own admission) have a greater problem with the sentencing of the individual, not the legalities of the laws the violated. So your inference of nullifaction is false.

Also, just because your jury refuses to find a verdict doesn't end the matter. They will simply retry the case with a new jury, as they would if the jury failed to agree on a verdict. So all your indignance would be for nothing.

May a judge one day grant your request. For now you are sounding like a tantrum-throwing child. Your poor little friend went through a long car ride so now all TRUE innocent victims will feel your wrath.

Nope....no way in hell do you ever serve on a jury.

The funniest part in all this is what you claimed to originally have a problem with doesn't even apply to your friend. You said "oh we shouldn't lock up non-violent offenders....BAH!!!"

But what you've failed to notice, despite it being pointed out REPEATEDLY is that your friend was not locked up. She was given probation for a FELONY. Then she violated that probation.

What's more, she's not even "locked up." Go see the guys locked up in the state penn. THEY are "locked up." Your friend sounds like she's in what amounts to a half-way house. Would you be happier if she were in the penn, getting a flower tattooed on her hand by her dike daddy? Would you rather her be someone's bitch, or simply have to take some GED courses and walk with her hands behind her?

More and more, this thread sounds like someone mad at the world, throwing a little tantrum without bothering to listen to the facts that they told US about. These facts are not in dispute.....they came from your mouth.....and you still refuse to acknowledge them.
