So there's no further discussion necessary, you have supplied all of the unbiased facts with no prejudicial misconceptions. And absolutely NO ARROGANCE whatsoever in your statements.

Wonderful!!!!

ah,Trouble may care! But trouble is there.

Some people like to find fault with anything and everything just to cause contentious argument.

Well, I for one enjoyed reading along with you guys last night. I couldn't endure the thought of trying to be rational with irrational people, so I kept my mouth shut. I have to admire you though, for having fun with them! And of course with this one today, my first thought when he started arguing with LA, was oh man, he really doesn't want to do that! lol
Anyway, I do get a little tired of intolerant people who get all holier than thou about their own opinion, and really seem like nothing more than attention whores. So I just stay out of it, but certainly do enjoy reading the contributions you guys make. And Riotgirl too of course...i got to see a couple of her posts before they had to be removed, she cracks me up.
If you need more coffee just let me know, I'll be happy to bring it to you! Oh, I have some brownies you might enjoy too.

Madam,
I make no sweeping statement that I alone have all the answers or that my way is the only way. Not everyone will agree with me and you are obviously one of those good people. Thank you for your input.

SubjectProperty -> RE: OWNER/SLAVE - Consensual Association in the 21st Century World (2/7/2006 10:05:05 AM)

Wrong again Mistress Contentionist! I edited to correct a spelling mistake. Say,have you ever thought about a career has a gypsy rose type medium at the local county fair? You are obviously quite good(not) at reading a persons thoughts and doing their thinking for them.

That's why the SPCA requires references and a modest background check before letting John Smith adopt a dog or cat.

I was kind enough to quote both your statements in that thread when I asked you to clarify the contradiction which you made. Feel free to take a peek at it and if you're still confused as to what you wrote, I'll be happy to clear it up for you.

Ok Ok... chill out... no need to start name calling.

And I'll have you know...I sometimes need Lucky to think for me.. because I have quite often opened my mouth without thinking on here before... and she's helped me shut it again. Keeping me out of trouble with other posters... and the Moderators...

LUCKY.... you keep right on stating you opinions like everyone else does.... you have brains.. wits.. and humor... not everyone always agrees... but that's what makes them your own opinions... I happen to enjoy reading... learning.. from your opinions... (though I get confused sometimes and have to break out a dictionary... I still enjoy)

Tapestry.... i'm not really a cake/brownie/chocolate eater.... but likes to try homebaked... I do think it's always better than store bought.... only 1 question.. will I still pass a piss test after eating one of your brownies?... lol

Not that LA needs anyone to speak for her, but you absolutely added content to the edit as I read both the before and after versions.

btw: Here's the content you 'added' during your edit, and there are still typo's in it. Several, in fact.

"You are one inteligent women so if you need any point clarifying before you make false assumptions, please do message me and I will explain any point for you."

You don't seem to be all that concerned with typo's and you lied about editing for content. Just how seriously do you want to be taken?

It would appear, if you were honest with your self, that it is you who seeks attention. I just placed statements online for comment.I did not realise that rarther irresponsible, immature and mocking bird types would venture forth to read them.

SubjectProperty -> RE: OWNER/SLAVE - Consensual Association in the 21st Century World (2/7/2006 10:41:38 AM)

You make a false accusation. I did not lie about editing my content. I explained that it was edited and why it was edited. It was not edited for the false reasons given by the fake mindreader who shall be nameless. I will not rise to your bait and shall ignore al further contentious coments made by yourself and your fellow troublemakers who enjoy mocking others for your pleasure because the internet is your main source of entertainment.(see now I am making assumptions).

perverseangelic -> RE: OWNER/SLAVE - Consensual Association in the 21st Century World (2/7/2006 10:43:58 AM)

I've read through the entire thread so far, and actually have no opinion one way or the other (miracle, I know!)

This is only, of course, my view of this thread based on reading it.

But Subject, so far, I've only seen honest critiques of your commentary. People have pointed out what they see to be flaws and stated why they see them as flaws. As opposed to addressing the points they've made, it seems as though you're attacking the people making them.

Compared to some threads on here, where the OP has been totally ganged up on, you've gotten some intelligent people to give you actual feedback. Why not address the feedback they've given?

I know I'd like to read more of the back and forth, because I think it'll make me feel smarter :)

My statement was accurate. You did lie about editing your content. Your explanation holds no water because there were NO typo's in your first pass with the post and the ONLY thing that WAS added was the additional content, although that was, in fact, ridden with typo's.

The fact that you have failed to take responsiblity for your contradition, try to explain it or even acknowledge that you made an error speaks volumes about your character. You can dismiss me, make assumptions etc. but your words have been captured and put out there for all to see. You're the one who has to live with them and the impression which you've made here.

My impression - I see you as a liar and a fake. Perhaps you see me as using the Internet as my main source of enjoyment. Seems to me that we could both be right. You are quite amusing when you squirm.

Sounds like "disagree" in your world equates to "attack." I've found this often to be the case with those who claim to know "the true way."

SubjectProperty -> RE: OWNER/SLAVE - Consensual Association in the 21st Century World (2/7/2006 10:59:32 AM)

You are not being attacked and you know full well that is so. I do not profess to know everything and I have not stated my way is the only true way. You have introduced those things yourself and pretend that I have mentioned them. I would not condemn any statement that you made has you have condemned mine.

You need to read slower and compehend more. I was commenting that it was you who seem to associate disagreement with attack.

Calling a poster "irresponsible, immature" (sic) certainly is the response of someone feeling defensive.

sophia37 -> RE: OWNER/SLAVE - Consensual Association in the 21st Century World (2/7/2006 12:43:42 PM)

Hi all. Im new here but Subject Property's attempt to rationalize slavery gave me the kick in the butt I needed to register myself just so I could reply directly. Since this appears to be a form of thesis, I'll try and keep this on a level playing field by using some of Subjects same mannersims.

Dear Sir, it would be helpful to your argument had you tightened up and simplified the concepts. Especially the first paragrpah which dragged on far to long and nearly lost me.

Where you did yourself damage was in your spelling. To be helpful and not hurtful I will say, use your Word Program tools and make spell check your religion. Your spelling went so far as to change the meaning of various sentances. Was it a mis-spell or a different word all together? You really took us all for one tough reading ride.

Also, if you wish to speak and make points like a pro, you need footnotes. Why should I believe there are 30,000 slaves anywhere? Where do you get your facts? You need proof to sway your crowd. Can you help us here?

Also your tone of voice. Its the dead giveaway as to your leanings. Watch your cliches. Beware of labels. Its not nessasary to insult us in order to get us to listen.

Sadly, I wish your work had been better supported. Mainly becuase I find the collarme website to be very interesting. Im here to learn about what people on this site think. I too wonder about why people label themselevs as subs or doms or slaves. I really wish your thesis has shed some light on the whys of slavery instead of what appears to be a form of pseudoscience in your essay.

I hope that your dissertation on what you percieve as modern slavery moves people who think of themselves as slaves to write from their own perspective.

Can I ask you this? Do you own slaves yourself? Can you classify yourself for us? Are you a Dom? Who would you say you are to this discussion? That might give us real insight.

Im not sure that you write from experience. It sounded more like wishful thinking and a fantasy of our past. But this is not a Ren Faire. This is the real world you're trying to alter. Perhaps you'd like to rethink it and try it again on another level?

In closing I'd say I'd be willing to reread it if you tighten it up, get rid of the insults and treat us like we're worthy of your respect. Thank you. Sincerely, Sophia
