It was a very tough call. Adam is a seasoned vocalist and performer. I love how the media keeps talking about his falsetto, when he has no falsetto at all. His vocal range actually goes that high. Great deal of training went into that. As Louve00 said, the contraints of the Idol contract could very well have inhibited him. He has gotten a great deal of attention and throughout the season, various mentors have mentioned wanting to work with him. Kris Allen, on the other hand is a musician. He doesn't have the vocal range, but he CAN sing. He also plays instruments. He obviously picked up the Gokey votes. I wish him the best. As for the rest of the finale, I have to say that I think it was the best one they have done yet. The only number I could have done without was the group number of "So What". It came off like a Broadway showtune because only about 3 of the performers had the edge for the song. Cyndi Lauper has aged beautifully. Having Kiss on the ticket was GREAT! I still love David Cook. Thought Nick (Nathan?) Gentle was so entertaining. The fact that Bikini Girl didn't seem to get how much she was being mocked gave me the warm fuzzies, even though I still can't stand Kara. Bikini Girl should have been singing "Let Me Entertain You" from Gypsy because she just reminds me of a stripper. I was CRAZY for Fergie's shoes! I am such a shoe whore, lol. Since injuring my back, I doubt I will ever be able to wear any heels ever again, but MAN, I want those shoes! Adam Lambert I think has forever changed the game. When the new season in January starts, it will be interesting to see how things evolve. P.S. Yes, I am a reality show junkie. I can't help it. It's like a car accident, I just can't help but watch.
