I don't even have one of those portable phones that everyone walks around with.

How often is this right exercized? Cause folks, there are all kinds of laws on the books that people don't enforce. Unless the FCC is finding massive interference, they aren't going to wander around your neighborhood checking your cell phone. Radio piracy requires big antennas.

The FCC has gone after pirate transmitters for decades but surprisingly we're all still here.

And really what experts are alarmed by this? I used to have a Ham license and knew lots of other amateur radios folks and nobody was concerned about the FCC.
