I have done both, but it is more the person and my whim if you will. Just a part of the dynamic's between us and how I wish to play with my man. To make it so he can't expect what I will do and what will happen. I don't think there is really anything more to it for me.
The first man I did tease and denial with, we didn't see ourselves into bdsm or d/s. I found power in sexual things because he was so plyable and I could have him going crazy with a look or expresson or a word. I knew him and his triggers and loved playing with them. I think this is when I saw something in myself that I hadn't seen before or rather only had a glimce of before.
If I am in a situation where I don't see the man on a daily basis, I will play it different. Sometimes he gets free release and then nothing before coming to see me because I want him thinking of his hunger. It is more a head thing than an acutal physical hunger I think. There are times when I don't do anything and just let things flow. I don't need him hungry because that hunger can be built in a moment or so and things said and done. It doesn't always matter how long he is hungry... just that he is. lol
