Candy if you remember when i first came to boards.. i asked about respect... still wonder about all that too... LOL.. one earns it.. one should have it till they prove themselves unworthy of it...

i agree with this...Respect others until they give a reason not to. And yet, always behave respectfully, even toward those you do not respect. Well, that's my general philosophy.

i'm a newcomer to this particular board...but hey i'll just keep posting until someone notices :)

When someone new, male or female, Dom or sub, begins to post, regulars who don’t recognize or relate to the person’s writing will fall into the comfort of the group of others they do know. Working towards the goal of building esteem and finding acceptance in the group, regulars will attack outsiders. The outsider is also seen as a threat to the regulars own places in the group. It is pretty common in all social situations and the way for a new person to handle this insensitive period is to stick around long enough to become familiar, be judged and gain acceptance.

As a Newcomer to this site I can say I have experienced just that.
I expect it to a certain extent...its human nature and those internal animal instincts.
Having a thick skin does help with being able to handle the"initiation period",I have manage to make it to a 'Perverted' status(yay).

*Whoops I'm indecent not perverted*

My POV everyone has the potential to offer an experience, each experience can offer knowledge. "Knowledge is Power"
