There are as number of malevolent individuals who regularly attack anyone and everyone who posts something relivant yet controversial on this website. They have nothing of any real value to contribute but they spend their time amusing themselves by attacking complete strangers via the anomimity of the internet. They deliberately twist the contributors words to suit their own perverse thinking. They even claim to know precisely what the contributor is thinking. The make wrongful assumptions about a persons reason for posting. They attempt to start a flame war and then they run to their prejudiced and bigotted online friends who happen to be amongst that minority of moderators who use their office to attack or remove entirely innocent members who have caused neither harm nor offence.

Well if there are any decent members who have been so attacked in the past the time is ripe to stand up and be counted and name and shame these individuals quoting instances that can be substantiated, then a list of such people to be avoided and not responded to in order to avoid flame wars and negative experiences would be much appreciated.

39 posts & I assume the similar name with 9 more posts is the same person... hardly enough history on the boards to deem the way others should or should not post.

Eventually your hide will thicken & these vicious letters on the screen won't be so threatening.

Hell some of us even enjoy having a round or two with these types for pure comic relief.

It's ok sweet, being amongst other things i'm a Witch and am used to being hunted bu closed minded individuals who cant keep their noses out of the business of others. Just come and hide (vacation) in the Bear Hibernation Cave.

So true so true..... It just makes life so flaming hard.. Stone the bleadig crows......

OP, this matter has been dealt with and those who regularly attack or otherwise are unkind to people and who especially attack specific people are firstly well known and mostly get the rough edge of peoples tongues or at least sarcasm.... May I sugest that you remove either you head or your thumb from your arse and insert the rough edge of a pinaple and do a Chubby Checker Twist on it?

We could make a seperate board for this and title it "The Tattletale Whiners Forum".

Mom....he's touching me!.......

Subjective Property: I understand what your saying. In general I think that those who are nasty, not feisty but straight out mean are handled pretty well on the forums. People tend to respnd to them and put them in their place.

What I really hate is something that happened to me recently...which was I got a private message from a jerk who I had never spoken to who made a really nasty remark about my profile pics and then blocked me so i couldn't even respond. Blocking me shows me that this person has absolutely no "balls" and knows what they did was wrong. I was so ticked off for like an hour but they're blocked from me now and they can go get their jollies picking on someone else.

i guess there are jerks everywhere...don't let them bother you and don't give them the attention they want.

Does it strike anyone as ironic that "Subjectproperty" wants other people to name names while he withholds his own personal enemy's list?

Could it be that he's aware that direct personal attacks are against the rules and has a desire that others take the risks?

Actually, the board has a pretty good method for dealing with this, the same one John Stuart Mill recommended.

Burn the Wiches, Ban the Books, Censor public opinion...oh yea, all these tactics have been tried. Perhaps public hanging would satisfy the sadists? Or, here's a really cool idea...let's try live and let live. I do not have to agree with every idea here, but I am grateful for the opportuntiy to disagree.

Just curious SP...who would you suggest make the decsion regarding who can say what and when? Who among us is qualified to judge?

oooh! I wanna be a judge!!

(not really....but......I didn't have anything else to say)

except...

If you're gonna post controversial threads, don't be surprised when the majority does not agree with you. And no use getting upset over it when you put yourself and/or your views out there for public consideration.

Just a thought...

Gee, I'm starting to see a pattern here. I think I finally have a good reason to use my block button.
