If Martin Luther posted his theses on an religions internet site versus nailing Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Church the way some people post their “lifestyle” theses on Collar Me do you think the Reformation movement would have gotten off the ground? Why is taking away a person’s freedom to kill themselves by smoking cigarettes, or riding a MC without a helmet, considered “liberal” politics, while the inhibiting freedom of speech “conservative”? Thinking about the seat belt issue; rarely does Brittany Spears give me cause to feel sorry for her, but how many of you have let their “mini-me” sit on their lap for a short time while driving? Should Bruce Springsteen be investigated because in his “My Home Town” video he had a mini person on his lap while driving through Freehold NJ? Being “right” is a moving target. Is there a purpose to post a one line post saying that everyone should stop posting to a particular thread? Is it the same as the next post of a person agreeing that not posting is a good idea? Has anyone had a hand reach out and punch them from their computer monitor? I mean without the assistance of a legal or illegal mind altering drug. Why do I feel that the “real” purpose of CM to generate data for a graduate student thesis? Is a cartoon depiction of your “messiah” really a good reason to die? Do they still get the virgins, but in the form of Jessica from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”? If you’ve ever had one virgin would getting 75 more be an incentive for suicide? Why is defining a label such as “slave” more important than the relationship that would define it for that person? Can you really, really, absolutely really, know you are exclusively heterosexual if you’ve had no homosexual experience? I never read any further when I see the words, “everyone feels…”, “its normal/natural…” or anything similar in the first sentence of a post. No matter what the subject all I can think of from that point on are the exceptions I know first hand. Just once I’d like to spend the day posting one word “yes/no” answers to some of the questions posted on the threads. I had one of my most pleasurable evenings last Friday enjoying the company of another lifestyle couple we met as a result of CM. No play, no props, no costumes, just talking and enjoying the company of like minded people. It was so comfortable and relaxing. Is the need to be “validated” more important than being “valid”? If there is reincarnation I hope to come back as a female bi-sexual switch; although more likely to die by age 25, it would be a HELL of a party! Female because a guy kissing another guy is just “gross”, but two woman together is HOT! I don’t see how you women do it! When did speaking at a funeral become an opportunity to make a political speech? Before posting any response to any thread I’ll view the profile, if I can’t view the profile I consider the person a fraud or at very least a coward, hiding behind anonymity. In the 7 circles of hell they are just above the people who need to “block” to protect themselves from being “injured” by words. If the person you are having cyber sex with falls asleep does that indicate you are involved in a “cyber marriage”? People would enjoy their lives more if they took themselves less seriously. The best way to lose credibility is to argue the detail instead of the concept. For instance, meeting a person within 2 weeks; “well I live on Mars and it takes 9 months to get to earth, so your 2 week limit is unreasonable!” DUH! Typing “no thanks” in response to unsolicited email takes 8 keystrokes and a left click on the mouse, deleting without replying takes only the left click, I can use the exercise so I always will use the 8 keystroke plus one click method, being sure to breath properly during the “set”. However eliminating courtesy “no” would only add 2 extra keystrokes to the process, just putting that out there for consideration. The only people who should have more than one profile are self identified “switches”. Is it possible to be offended by someone words if you don’t on some subconscious level feel there is some truth to them? If one of my favorite movies “Arthur” staring Dudley Moore were pitched today it wouldn’t be put on screen because it “condones” drunk driving. When people say “just kidding” they really aren't 99.99% of the time. When people are having a on-line session does someone really type “whap” or “smack” or “swish” depending on the cyber toy they are using? Does the sub really type “ouch”? Has anyone needed to use a safe-word to stop themselves during on-line play? In a blind test, who would provide the most pleasure, a person of the same sex or the opposite sex? Is anyone else wanting to address the situation that at leather gatherings such as the Folsom Street Fair where for the past 3 years it’s been 90 degrees, slaves and submissives walk around cool and naked while Masters/Doms are expected to be bedecked in their leather pants, vests, etc – BLACK at that! Shouldn’t there be a “summer uniform”? I could go on forever…
