This is a great idea for those places where you don't want to wear your better corset because of spilled water, alcohol or other fluids.

While it has an interesting post-modern appeal and I can conceptualize it being really fun with certain costuming ideas, I can't see it supplanting standard corsetry. I also rather wonder at the emphasis on functionality when we're talking about a corset; I mean, I love all of the pseudo-military appeal but unless the structure of a corset is removed, it seems rather conflicted: structure and practicality?! My initial impression is: cool but I'd be loathe to spend anywhere near as much as I would on a more classic piece.
