i read some zecharia stitchen (sp?) books once upon a time. He is an archeologist who translated some stone found in Sumaria. His take on it was that the human race was created by aliens by mixing alien DNA with animal DNA or something like that...kinda plausible thinking now with the progression of our medical field...not too hard to believe an alien race actually did this already.

This doesnt stop me believing in God but i dont see God as a man, more of an ultimate reality, creator, sustainer, destroyer, all pervading and consuming energy typa thing.

Theoreticaly possible sure.... However when you factor in "Why would they?" And "Would they just naff off for a few million years if they did?" then it starts to paint a somewhat diffrent picture.

I look out there at the vast number of galaxys, stars and planets and simply from law of averages see it as unlikely we are alone. However I don't buy into the notion that a teenage ET's version of a fun saturday night prank is to buzz a backward planet, analy probe a hillybilly or two and disembowl a cow before taking off again and laughing at the confusion left behind. Something advanced enough to journey umpteen million years to reach here isn't likely to take to joyriding I think!

That's the logic of the Cargo Cults. Still, the GI's weren't gods; they just had a head start in technology.

Oh how fun. What a great topic. Personally i believe God is consciousness. As W/we know here, in this lifestyle, everything occurs in the mind first. i believe it is the same with God. It is Mind - vast, unlimited, resourceful, creative Mind. It is all tremendous Energy. So, yes, of course ET is part of God as is everything.

i also believe that people seeking power long ago, desired to have unconsented control over others and hid many metaphysical facts from the masses - such as altered the bible etc. Without these Truths we have been led into fear and lack and limitation because that is the only way people can wield power over others without their consent. But it's a long story.

So YES i believe whole heartedly that God existis - but i prefer to meditate on It as GOOD.
