My dom taught me a long time ago that change is good, if you can just see it that way.
For the OP, or anyone else who might be having a tough time right now:
It might help you get through this time if you limit your crying, grieving and all that to just five or ten minutes per day. That way you can go ahead and feel those feelings, so you can move through them. So you don't get stuck there. By limiting that time to a small part of your day, you'll be able to spend the rest of the time making new, happy memories.
It also helps to spend some time focusing on helping others, when you are having a hard time. That will not only benefit others, but help you feel better about yourself as well. Suggest you look for volunteer opportunities in your area, such as helping out in a classroom, with a sports team, or at the animal shelter. Just a few hours a week of helping out in your community can make you and those you help, feel like a million bucks.
