I prefer it to queer. I know that "queer" is being used by many in the gay community as a movement to take back the word and make it positive. And I should clarify, in the gay community of the city I live in, as I have not polled all of the other cities. While I understand the lables, I don't really like any of them. Gay, Bi, Straight. The only use I see for them is to describe which gender you would perfer an intimate relationship with, and frankly I do not need to know. If people could just say, and have accepted the words, "No thank you, I am not interested," a whole lot of problems could be solved.
