ORIGINAL: kittinSol Strange, isn't it, how perception differs from one person to the next? What you see as rabid, I consider to be really rather moderate. Obama is a popular president, but people aren't blind to his appeal, and whilst many may support him in general, I see plenty of examples where they question him for some of his more controversial decisions. As for his future popularity, only time will tell, so those agents of doom who gleefully predict his downfall are little more than cyber Nostradamuses [8D] . Mornin kittin, It's been awhile. Unfortunately, it doesn't take a psychic to predict what is going to happen. History has shown us this pattern many times before. uncontrolled spending and borrowing leads to the downfall of a country. This is the same complaint I had about the last administration, and I will continue to complain about it with this administration. Granted, Obama's charisma and appeal may be able to deflect some of the blame, but eventually people will be able to see through the smoke and mirrors (usually when it hits them personally in the pocketbooks). There is nothing short of a complete halt on spending and borrowing that is going to fend off the inflation that is headed our way. Will that inflation hurt Obama's approval ratings? Who knows... I wish you well, Thadius
