lobodomslavery -> Is it right for a Domme to run for political office (6/5/2009 10:59:00 AM)

Evening Ladies. A beautiful evening it is too in lovely Dublin. It was much nicer during the week tho. Hope it is beautiful near You too.  Anyway it was a political week in Dublin the last while. We went to vote today and during the week some of the candidates presented themselves at my door. i was particularly taken by one Female candidate. She was wearing leather boots a badge which stated Women over men and looked for all the world like a Domme to me. My question is this is it right for a Domme or Dom to run for political office? Does this not go against the grain of what a democracy should be about ie and i know i will get shot for this but anyway, should we not have normal and ordinary men and Women running for office. After all is nt politics about equality and campaigning for everyone's interests equally. And if so in a way is a bit improper for a Domme or a Male Dom to run for office given that they may not share this view, i e that men and Women are equal and may instead as in this case believe that Women are superior to men and vice versa which is just as bad. Thought id throw it out.

There are plenty of mcp's out there who are plain vanilla.  And they don't believe in equality between the sexes.

And why do you think any woman in boots is a Domme?  She could just be one of those nefarious feminists.

Lobo, you got more issues with women than freaking Life Magazine.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Is it right for a Domme to run for political office (6/5/2009 2:46:37 PM)

EEEEEh !  A feminist!

Oh, wait, that's what I am.  nm.

Kevin, how is ANYONE to know whether a person is in the bdsm scene and running for office?  I swear to you that we do not have UV tattoos that mark us.  I also swear to you that you will find people of EVERY POSSIBLE MINDSET in the kink world, from radical religionist to neonazi to all-out liberal.  PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE and being in the scene does not make them different, special, or recognizable in a crowd.

Lord,  thank you for giving me the foresight to not post what I was going to.  amen.

Bull.  Show me just ONE Domme that's not forever getting drinks spilled on her.

lobo, you really haven't got a clue, do you?  just because a woman is a feminist it does not make her a dominant.  just because she happens to dress a certain way does not make her a dominant.  just because she wears boots does not make her a dominant.  dominance is what's inside a person, part of their psychological makeup.  it has nothing to do with their position in a company, their position in the community or anything else.  you can't point to anyone with any certainty and say because of x-y-z that woman must be a dominant.  some of the most submissive looking ladies i've ever met have turned out to be dominants in private.  get your head on straight and start learning about individual people rather than trying to lump them into your own imaginary categories.  it works much better that way, with women AND men.

A) It's okay for anyone to run for office...even those who may exploit their views....even to the extreme.

B) It's okay for you to vote for anyone....even those who might push your buttons.

C) Those who might run for office who might use (my) prurient interests to get elected....will.....

End up in the fucking gutter because....I think with my other head...and I vote with it as well.

(But that's just me).

Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!!!!!!!!

Kevin... will you, for the love of all that's Holy... QUIT PROJECTING.

Get some professional help, dude.  Seriously.  I don't care if it's a pro dom or a psychiatrist... but this obsession of yours is unhealthy.

It is safer for me not to comment on this topic however if I may hijack for one second I do owe you many thanks lobo as I decided to wear some knee high black boots to work yesterday and was grinning to myself all day wondering if I was going to get the men (yes, some of whom I supervise) complaining that I was dressing too provocatively and domly.

Let the thread continue ...... [:)]

Hell no! Jesus christ, who the fuck do these women think they are? Running for office, holding jobs, going out in public and coming and going as they please... I'm sorry, guys, but this has finally just gone too far. Dommes need to be kept in boxes, and we'll let them out for an hour or two whenever we need them for something. Then it's right back in the box where they belong, until we need them again. Enough is enough, I say.

LadySweetOrSour -> RE: Is it right for a Domme to run for political office (6/5/2009 11:31:44 PM)

Please, for those of us who are particularly obtuse, define "normal and ordinary" and why leather boots state that a female is a dominant?

GreedyTop -> RE: Is it right for a Domme to run for political office (6/5/2009 11:40:23 PM)

because in his world, leprachauns, unicorns and pots of gold exist?
