Hey guys. Have you noticed the recent influx of girls, slaves even more so than submissives, offering themselves for "immediate ownership" on this site? I've seen far more girls than normal with profiles stating they have nowhere to go, or lost their job, or their family can't afford to support them anymore, or they can't deal with the pressures of the world anymore and just want to be owned. They tend to be "willing to relocate", and the requirements set for their prospective owners, as well as their stated limits, are few. In short, it seems there are a lot of helpless destitute females right now who are turning to slavery to survive. I'd like to hear if your mileage varies, or if you've noticed something similar. Also would like to hear theories, if you've got them. Happy slutting. :)

I think just the opposite. There are more "so-called" Masters looking for slaves for financial purposes.

I have no idea what the sociological situation is in the USA at the moment and how the recession is effecting the populace, but based on the situation here and the last recession (the one we had to haver according to the then Treasurer) I know there is a hell of a lot of pressure on families and especially on the low income families. There is going to be a percentage of the population and especially those younger one who have never had to really scrape and scrimp in order to pay bills and food etc who are in for a huge shock to their system. Human nature being what it is, it is more than probable that some will toss up their hands in defeat no matter what orientation they are. I suggest that those who are doing this with in the BDSM area, are those who underneath have always wanted and expected to be looked after possibly had the recession not occured, believed that parents would have found a marriage for them where the new husband and his family would have ensured their happy existance with few financial preasures. Of course I could well be wrong in this but my experience with the human race populating western countries has demonstrated to me that this can be the case es[pecially if some of them don't want to work but expect to be looked after either by family or the state,,, I know of a few BDSM couples (D/s) who the loss of jobs and the need to move to more remote areas to work has caused breakups but this I think will be in the minority... What I do expect to see and again based on our previous recession and rate hikes putting pressure on mortages, will place some marriages under stress where some will break and families broken up with a high possibility of suicides.

Perhaps out of work people just have more time to try and drive traffic to their websites.

I've noticed the phishing increasing as well, but I like to think I can recognize a phish 9 times out of 10. :) But you're right, the scam artists are certainly stepping up their efforts as well. Economic distress hits some houses harder than others. Lots of single women have lowered their standards for a free night on the town, I don't see why an "all expenses paid, plus kinky fun" deal is any different. Personally, I haven't seen it, but it makes sense. We're all hookers.

I have seen far more men... some submissive and some posing as submissive or dominant... which they are, I don't know... that are looking for a quick living in situation. I've been seeing it for the last couple of months. Some other dominant's and I in MO have run into one who had a dominant profile in another state but when it came time to have to find cheaper living was moving to our area or back to this area and has been hitting up all the dominant's as a submissive now. No one answered his call as a dominant and it seems he has gone submissive... which is really hard to believe because the dominant profile stated there was one way... a woman following a man. I even had one beg me to save him! After a background check on him... no friggin way! lol I am more than willing to help someone... but if I don't know them well, you bet I am checking them out in every way! OP: I had a man message me on here...who said he was just out of prison and would come and do housework...chores etc for a place...( it was in his profile too) and I know there have been young men( on here too) who wanted to crash at my place while they looked for jobs in the city here...and get some kink on the side.. i think that sites like this bring out the negative side of all of us...me included! i do not feel lack of self confidence and self esteem, no values or ethics is gender specific. i would never want to associate with a sub/slave that was so desperate! maybe and unfortunately some woman on here are so afraid to show their strength, due to the ignorance of the so called D's that will tell them they are not submissive because they are independent and financially secure. lol you guys will send a ticket if she talks like a whore..and capitalizes..the word Dominant! ree

I am seeing a lot more financial femdoms come on the market too, for that matter. These are very hard times for a lot of people, and frankly, if one has a kink inclination and can use that to their advantage, I say more power to ya. I used to work phone sex for the extra cash but there are way too many people doing it now, and the customer base is shrinking due to loss of disposable income. I had a Czech stripper tell me she was moving back to Prague because business is so bad here - she can make more money as an - ahem - stripper there. I think its a good idea for people to consider co-living situations they may not have thought of before. (This is aside from the actual phishers/scammers out there.)
