I think you missed my point.
I did not ask would you marry someone after three weeks of dating THAT person. My point was if you had NEVER dated before, as in dated anyone.....would you get married three weeks after the first date EVER of your life?
People love to point out the exception like it's the rule. The reality is that the majority of relationships fail. Rushing into a relationship when you have no idea of what you're looking for in mate pretty much dooms the relationship with few exceptions. Just witness the large number of three month long relationships and velcro collars in the community. So, good for your friends. They're the exception.
Did I say there were rules? Nope. I suggested that she slow down and figure out if she even likes the guy before making a commitment. How terrible of me. <gasp>
