What am I? Chopped liver? I happen to be a US citizen born and (mostly) raised there in the States. So I live in Canada now.... I used to watch some great stuff on Hulu. Funny thing is - I have to yet to see a Canadian site restrict their material to Canadians only......

Yeah the Canadians do it too. It has to do with the licensing deals for the content.

No, Lumus and I have been checking. Canadian laws are less proprietary and considering some of the stuff we, uhhhhh, download economically, we have yet to find a single site that restricts viewers to Canadians only. Now, on the other hand, we've run into quite a few US sites that do block international access. It's a shame really, they're hurting themselves by blocking potential revenue. Oh well.... *shrugs*

Thanks, Steel, I'll look it up later, the, ummmm ,title, leads me to think that it would be better to watch after little eyes are asleep. :)

As for Canadians blocking sites, anyone can try setting their homepage to www.google.ca. You won't have any problems. Yet here in Canada, we are forced to use Google.ca unless you know the workabout for getting google.com. (And yes, there is a large difference between Yahoo US and Yahoo Canada, along with Google US and Google Canada.) We are automatically redirected unless we know the tricks to get to the US sites we want.

It gets frustrating as hell and informative at the same time.....Says a lot about some things.

Thanks Steel:) so thats what my eldest was on about....makes sense now

Cant say Ive found any canada sites only that disallow from the US, maybe sports stuff?
Ive had trouble with some UK stuff too, but its findable :)
