Since I am unintelligible anyway, there can be no harm in saying, "You can't be guilty just because the Chinese are communist".

When I observe my own fantasies, on some level I know it is not real; I am not wishing it to be real. I see it more as "watching a movie" with my lust-object *playing a character*, if that makes sense. In fantasy, you can also control the fate of your "victim" and in my fantasy world, there's always a happy ending.

When we submales find that staying with fantasy is often preferable to submitting to some "it's all about Me" domme, we're called 'wankers.' LOL

This is really not a Diss to anyone person.... nor to all...

But unless you've experianced kidnapping... rape... you have no fucking idea what you're talking about.

There's no opinions here... there's no knowing what you will or will not do in said situations. It's one of lifes experiances... I pray to God.. that if you have never been through... you never do.. Make or female...

And if you have been though it... and have managed to move past it.. great... some do.. some don't... I live day by day now... even though I live the life of a submissive... and I pretty much do what happened to me during my rape.. it's all consentual now.. and personally helps me deal with it. But I still am leary... I still spook easily... I attack when jumped at when someone is playing...

I lived as a submissive before the rape.. I think is why I can still live the life I do live....

But untill you walk the shoes as a victim... there's no fantasy... only reality.... because not even your fantasies... can take you.. where reality takes you in this situation.

Sorry... if this offened anyone.. it wasn't really ment to.. guess just a touchy subject for me...

I've had rape fantasies, and they got me off. But the essential ingredient in those fantasies, is the woman started not wanting it and then couldn't help but get off and enjoyed it. Basicly, the fantasies are about forcing a unwilling woman to orgasm, then she wants more. LOL, see it ends good. Whereas, I doubt real rape ever turns out that way. Because in fantasy land I already know the ending before it even starts. If reality was that way, well it wouldn't be bad either.

That why fantasy is good, because it always ends how you'd want it to end. It's real life that is more difficult to make work.

I appreciate that, ownedgirlie.. thought I was able to delete that horrible tirade before anyone saw it. Debated sending it for an hour, hit send and was immediately sorry. I don't want it to have that sort of power over me anymore.. so, ugh.. thank gawd for delete anyway.

Guess i was too quick on the draw. (sorry). Totally understand about not wanting to give it power. For that reason, i'll say no more on it.

That makes 2 of us. I dont get how we are to believe that the man that rapes the women ends up with her in the end... huh?? In my view he ends up in jail and she ends up in therapy.

Don't be sorry, everything you said was dead nuts on.

There is nothing erotic about real rape and what I have read in literature doesn't come close to the reality. If I detailed my rape from my perspective I highly doubt anyone would be turned on by it...but it wouldn't be full of sexy erotic tidbits like the stories I've read. My mind was too busy envisioning my body floating in a ditch, newspaper headlines, my family at my funeral, my children with no mother, the pain when my face exploded, the pain when my ribs cracked, the pain oh FUCK the pain, the pattern on the sole of a boot right before it slams into your face, oh my God is this really all MY blood?....try to keep breathing, it would be much easier if there weren't these hands trying so hard to wring the life out of my neck, where is that knife?...hard to see it when your eyes of full of blood, in a car now, where am I going?, car door opening, ashphalt whizzing by, tumbling...tumbling, skin grinding off.....those silly kind of little things. I know...not exactly erotic. The fact that there were penises involved was probably about the most insignificant part of the entire thing at the time that it was happening....it wasn't until much later that I realized what trauma that aspect of it all would bring.

So don't be sorry....you are more than right...if someone has never been there they can not even begin to imagine what it is like.

Fantasy?...yeah right!!! Romance novels? Soap Operas? The rapist ends up with the girl in the end? Well, there wouldn't be a market for shit like that if people weren't eating it up. I guess it most likely sells better than the reality of it would though.

To respond to the OP...

In a fantasy, the person dreaming up the fantasy is in control of all the characters. In other words, no matter how submissive a fantasy may seem, you are in control of all the action (and reaction), and all the stimuli. One the scene has played out, the characters disappear like smoke.

Not so in real life.

I'm not an expert, but my guess would be that this varies. Some serial rapists appear to be completely normal human beings when they're doing anything other than planning or carrying out their crimes. Others don't appear normal at all. (I'm suspicious of a lot of the profiling you see that always attributes some kind of irrepressible psychological "urge" to rapists, because with those kinds of theories you end up manufacturing your own evidence. If you find a rapist who does not display any obvious pathological urges when he's not raping, the investigator always has a way of insisting that he's covering his tracks, hiding his true urges, etc. A rapist is a criminal; I don't think it's helpful, at least in normal cases, to think of a rapist as diseased.)

Also, it's not just exerting power that defines a rapist: it's exerting power over an unwilling victim. I exert power all the time, but never with someone who isn't free to leave.

quote:

ORIGINAL: softandshy

I wonder how often rapists do use other ways to exert/absorb power in other aspects of their lives? How subtle or severe would that kind of behavior be? Does it make a difference in the frequency of rape or the degree of violence involved?
