1. On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping.
(and that's the only time I have to work on my hair.)

2. On a bag of Fritos:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary.
Details inside.
(the shoplifter special?)

3. On a bar of Dial soap:
"Directions: Use like regular soap."
(and that would be how???....)

4. On some Swanson frozen dinners:
"Serving suggestion: Defrost."
(but, it's "just" a suggestion.)

5. On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom):
Don 't turn upside down."
(well...duh, a bit late, huh!)

6. On Marks &Spencer Bread Pudding:
"Product will be hot after heating."
(...and you thought????...)

7. On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
"Do not iron clothes on body."
(but wouldn't this save me more time?)

8. On Boot's Children Cough Medicine:
"Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication."
(We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we could just get
those 5-year-olds with head-colds off those forklifts.)

9. On Nytol Sleep Aid:
"Warning: May cause drowsiness."
(and... I'm taking this because???...)

10. On most brands of Christmas lights:
"For indoor or outdoor use only."
(as opposed to... what?)
11. On a Japanese food processor:
"Not to be used for the other use."
(now, somebody out there, help me on this. I'm a bit curious.)

12. On Sainsbury's peanuts:
"Warning: contains nuts."
(talk about a news flash)

13. On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
"Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts."
(Step 3: maybe, uh... fly Delta?)

14. On a child's superman costume:
"Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly."
(I don't blame the company. I blame the parents for this one.)

15. On a Swedish chainsaw:
"Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals."
(Oh my God...was there a lot of this happening somewhere?)

yanno...these warnings generally appear AFTER some bozo actually did it.

Good thing though...heaven help us if he were to breed.

That's the really scary thought which is why one I read on a disposable light some years ago really perplexes me (and I swear to God I'm not making this up):

DO NOT INSERT INTO ANUS. DO NOT IGNITE WHILE INSERTED IN ANUS.

There's perveted - like us! - and then there's PERVERTED!

A curling iron is NOT an eyelash curler, Holly  .

From my own personal archives of when I was a translator in Warsaw...

(taken from an advice poster for Warsaw City Council)

'Bombs have a tendency to explode without warning. These explosions usually happen suddenly.'

'If you see a strange person inform the police immediately.'

'In the event of a bomb exploding on a bus or tram, do not panic, and make your way to the nearest available exit.'

(from a jar of peanut butter)

'Not suitable for people with nut allergies.'

(from instant soup)

'Warning: boiling water may be hot.'

My Favorite... On a Gag Gift it isn't real but it was Hillarious. It was a Large Dildo and the warning lable said.

If you are too stupid to use this correctly just return it for a full refund.

This makes me think fondly of Florence King's When Sisterhood Was in Flower. One of the funniest stories I've ever read.

How many people when they buy a stereo honestly think the company may have put a snack in there?

I think it was intended for those stupid enough to put a chocolate CD in a CD player mate.

I personally like the ones
Battery may explore... explore what?  If you put it in a remote controlled car is it going to drive around your house at 3am looking for burglars?
Please keep out of children (kitchen knife).  Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is not chopping fruit and vegetables, but slaughtering any kids who wander in to the kitchen?!
For use by trained personnel only. On a can of air freshener.  Eight week evening course available at your local college.
Beware! To touch these wires is instant death. Anyone found doing so will be prosecuted. - The defence rests.

Seriously though, how many of these are because of a sue-you, sue-me culture?
