This is going to come across as a corney post to some, but I think it's necessary right now. I have read some of the new threads, and I think we all owe a huge Thank You to the owners, and moderators here. Sometimes, as people we tend to take advantage of a good thing. Without so much as a show of appreciation. They're absolutely right, they do this for us, for free. How can you complain about something that you have put nothing into? I'm not blaming anyone, I've done it myself.

I would think a nice thank you posted by everyone, would be the equivalent of something from Hallmark...lol. Anyways, this just popped in my head, along with some shame that I have not properly thanked them since I've been here either.

What would really be nice, is if we could have a nice dinner, or something for them. But, seeing we're all from different places, that would probably be impossible.

Ya'll take care,

Myra

the moderators, and reviewers do have a thankless job. There really is no way to win in a situation when you are trying to enforce the rules. i am very appreciative of all their efforts in keeping the site running. i only wish i had the time to help out too.

I suggested to Mod4 yesterday they start charging something. That way they can pay for their servers, or host. Perhaps give the Mods a few bucks in their pockets to say thank you.
It doesn't need to be a huge amount. With all of the members of this site. A small amount would help them considerably.
People don't tend to dislike their jobs quite as much when getting paid for it. Well some do.

But hey its an idea. One that could actually help them too. A dinner cannot happen. We all know that. A card, well when you hear you're doing a good job so many times it seems to lose the definition. So why not do something for them that is new?

first step is normally advertisements before pay for play, but I certainly think one of the two will be coming up rather shortly.

First I would like to say thank you for the sentiment of Thanking us for what we do. It really does matter and it does make one feel like it is worth doing.

It is to my understanding this site will never be a pay site. It has been around for awhile now(not months, but years) and has yet to charge anything, has no pop ups or advertisements.

I personally appreciate the thought of charging so that some may be compensated, I however would not accept it. I do this for the community. I do not wish to be paid for it. For all the shit I take, I know that there are others that come here and learn something, there are those that learn what safe play is and is not. This place provides a lot of information that cannot be found easily. Here we have lifestylers that give advice on situations they have actually been in.

While we have several different areas on the boards and there is a lot of chit chat there is also a lot of knowledge being spread around. Maybe one day the stigmatism that is attached to the letters B D S M will not be so harsh. That's why I am here, to help the community.. to answer any questions I can, and to kick back and have an occasional laugh with others.

Oh I hope not! Ads are fine with me, but charging for this site would force me to leave. I enjoy this site because it -is- free, and I can get access to all the features without pay. I'd love to see ads here to help fund it, but I do hope they don't make this a for-pay site.

I am with Mod Trey, I'm not here to be paid. As frustrated as I get at times, I am not here to make money, but to help keep what I consider a good site going. I also agree I will be surprised if it ever goes paid. I'ts been around for years, and the owner seems happy with it, even if he hates all the new laws that have caused for stricter rules.

I appreciate that there are people that do care we are here and the pain this is, it makes dealing with the ones who don't know how to be adult or civil a little more easy to swallow.

::winks:: and though I may say I am leaving, I probably will never be able to as Mod One would beat me up :)

I've noticed since I've been here, which hasn't been that long, that every once in awhile someone will start a thread to thank you for doing what you do. And the fact that when one of us violate a rule, you don't come after us with baseball bats.
