Actually I am teasing where I should be being serious. In fairness, I am a dominant guy, which means I can be a dick when I want to be. I like things done in a certain way and have little problem letting people know when they disappoint, and this is in life, not just BDSM. Now lots of people see this as being mean whereas I see it as having the cojones to stand up for something of worth in a world that is far to oft slipshod. Then there is the tendency to tell people the truth, which, shockingly is something that most people don't want to hear, especially about themselves.Tell someone some hard facts that hurt their feelings and they are liable to call it being mean. It's not. I also like power...LOTS...and enjoy some of the more esoteric and innovative ways to exercise it, especially emotionally and mentally. That can certainly be qualified as cruelty (It's that sadism thing, I swear it comes out in the strangest ways) but it ain't mean. Mean to me can be defined as acting with malice, with a deliberate intent to harm, and I ain't talking in that wonderful riding crop flogger sort of way. I'm talking about emotional scars, the kind that take a long time to heal. That's just not cool and its not something that I do. JMHO but meanness and petty games are far to oft the first resort of the weak.
