There are lots of threads about who is hot, or who you want to fuck but I havent seen one asking who you respect so...


Who on here when you see them post do you always make sure to read? Who, even when you dont agree with their point of view, do you still admire the intellect that came behind it?

My response is not going to win me any popularity contests....however here it is anyway.....
There are many people who's opinions, beliefs, and values i respect. There are many people here i would honor and value their opinion on most any areas of my life. Sadly, the reality for me is very few of the people here know how i feel about them. Because unless for some reason they contact me....i generally don't even tell them.
And Asher, this is definitely not intended to cause offense or bad feelings towards You, but  my lack of ability to respond to this thread is the same reason i very very rarely will participate in a Happy Birthday thread. Because what about the person who does get mentioned? What about the person who is barely holding on to existence, etc.
i'm sorry perhaps i am just too serious or something today...

AWWW thanks Ash. I always love your posts. Wisdom and advice, often mixed with gentle humour, which is good for those who don't need some of the harsher responses .

In no particular order the following: Focus, Stella, Slaveboyforyou, DarkSteven, Breathasone, Fitznicely and, sorry CatdeMedici, CatdeMedici.

Some I agree with wholeheartedly, some I don't, but I admire the thought behind their posts and their intellect. Sometimes I could happily strangle one or two of them if we had a discussion in a pub and we disagreed, but that doesn't take away my respect for their intellect. Some seem to type my thoughts out before I have to do it, and usually in a much better way than I ever could, so have the respect of one who truly understands where they are coming from.

I don't really respect anybody here.  That is not to say I dont value the input, and I have learned some amazing stuff, but truly I don't know anyone well enough to respect them.  I guess it works better for me to see people long term and eye-to-eye.  I have met many people through internet venues that I respect deeply,and even love, but that is because I got to know them face to face.  Makes a world of difference to me.
Maybe I am looking at respect in a different way.
