I'm a free speech kind of guy, but the quotes from this character certainly seem to be crossing the lines into direct incitements to violence.

Do I understand this guy's beef correctly: Lawmakers want to give members of Catholic parishes more control over the finances of their church. That seems pretty reasonalbe to me. And Hal is asking people to kill over this? That's pretty messed-up. I suppose there is some Separation Clause issue here... On the other hand, I'm very interested in the 1st ammendment implications of this. There's a joke that fits here: A man was having a difficult time with a judge in court and so he stood up and asked: Your honor, what would happen if I were to say "you're an asshole"? "I would find you in contempt and put you in jail", the judge replied. What if I only THOUGHT you were an asshole? The judge said "There would be no penalty - I can't prosecute you for your thoughts." Then in that case, your honor, I think you're an asshole! At what point to statements become crimes? ~Dave

Wait until after a Doctor gets murdered by right wing anti-abortionists, and the Holocaust Museum gets shot up by a right-wing extremist nazi sympathizer, and THEN post about how local government officals should be shot! What a putz! But then, the right wing bloggosphere is never been known for it's brains, accuracy, or forethought...

That IS HAL Turner. He thrives on attention. He likely asked for it. They let this guy slide many times. He is just a nut. A clown. A dingleing. He rants- but he does so to make it a circus. Google him. He has a long history. In fact- I think I see egg on MY FACE over a post per him a while back. yup. yours truly fell for his stunt.
