Hello:
I am wondering, for comparison's sake, whether you differentiate between rules that are always in effect, such as modes of address or positions, etc. and task lists of things a boy must do regularly. I don't know if I am overthinking this. Also, if anyone would be willing to share their "rules", I would be most appreciative.

Hi Ma`am, surely a rule is to be followed, where as a task is to be carried out. That would be my understanding until/unless told differently.
