Ugh, I thought that *THING* had been banished to the dustheap of history (under the heading "really bad ideas") I endured the pain from that monstrous device ( then touted as the 'ultimate' in cost-effective body hair removal) and used to wonder about how many others actually kept using it. And yes the pain was, alas, self-inflicted. Back then I wondered about the genius who dreamt up the idea of using bouncing steel springs to rip hair...and not a little flesh ...EN MASSE ! It lasted until I settled on waxing as a far more preferable method of bodyhair removal. Incidentally, getting a 'Brazilian' ('Boyzillian' in some circles) is an absolute breeze compared to the Epilady. I can't believe how many ppl still proclaim how excruciating getting a brazilian is - one session w/ an Epilady will make you a believer in waxing. And BTW, what an evil name: "Epilady" ...it sounds like some light & dainty feminine notion - what a monstrous marketing gimmick ! As to the type of pain: Think: Flesh being ripped open. To compare it to another well-known instrument of severe pain, the Cane, at least with a cane, the stinging stops - well, when the stinging stops. The pain from an Epilady has a cruel way of hanging around. Pass the cane please ...
