In a lot of ways, Twitter, Facebook, et al, are really just the 21st century versions of CB radio... Lots of activity, lots of things being said, but not much of importance. Very low signal to noise ratio... Except... They ARE proving their worth in a time of crisis like this. In a way, they become a cyber version of Paul Revere, allowing important information to be spread, when the Iranian government is desperately trying to take what little voice its people do have! I think it's great the Twitter and facebook both have worked to keep the lines of communication open during these demonstrations. It helps make the Iranian government look like the despotic thugs they are. And let's be honest, ANYTHING that fucks with the Iranian government is a good thing, RIGHT?
