When are you the most content? What weather, conditions, situations keep you most at ease? First I take care of any responsibilities I have the day before (homework, projects, thoroughly cleaning my dorm, laundry). Then I go out when it's raining or snowing (the worst weather you can think of really) and walk a mile (or more) to get to my favorite food (depending on how I feel). Then I walk back freezing and soaking wet. Yes I could have paid the 8 bucks and taken a cab or 3 for a bus but there is something about getting home after putting myself through hell, knowing I have no responsibilities and that everything will soon be perfect. One time my hands were so frozen that it hurt to touch anything for about ten minutes after getting inside. Pushing the elevator button was like jabbing my finger into the tip of a knife. But I love walking into my warm room, stripping off my wet clothes (not having a roommate rocks), and chowing down on my favorite food, not caring how much I eat. I'm a calorie counter but, on days like this, it's a free for all. Usually it's a huge Angry Burger (uh oh, product placement...feelin' hungry?) from a burger king (there it is again) about 20 minutes away and I always get a large (I love french fries). It's the greatest feeling in the world. Then I enjoy a cable movie, or maybe I'll play WoW. The only thing I'm missing is a hot bath to follow (I don't have my own apartment yet). Clearly my happy place requires some planning. What about yours? Do you have a happy place?
