All I know is I must be curvy too since I don't do straight.

.... Since I don't have a pic up (yet) I generally describe myself as curvy and petite. Guys are like "whaa? how is this possible?" because the term 'curvy' means big or fat. Where did this come from? How am I suppose to describe myself as since 'curvy' is taken? "Uhhh I go in at the waist and out at the hips."

Put up a picutre that shows that and there you go no more issues. unless you are not petitte and curvy. There was a song out in the 70's called brickhouse us that.

Yanno....after reading this entire thread, I still fail to see why the OP deemed to get her panties on a knot. I mean it doesn't take rocket science to see that people come in all different shapes and sizes. Thus a person doesn't need to be a genius to comprehend  (gawd I love this word) that some women refer to themselves as BBW, so prefer curvacious, some prefer fat and some say they're are extra padded. OP...is it really that important , like a life and death situation, to know why a large sized woman is called curvy???

Now for a deliberate hyjack....anyone know where the chocolate is stashed???

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Why are Big women called 'curvy'... (6/18/2009 5:53:18 AM)

As to why the OP has vanished.  We had a ton of ice cream around here last night and she might have gotten worried the curvyness would start catching.

angelikaJ -> RE: Why are Big women called 'curvy'... (6/18/2009 6:05:17 AM)

FR ...
(did not read the whole thread)

I am in the same camp as lovely lushy.
I was curvy when I weighed 115 and was curvy when I weighed over 200lbs.

I have always had boobs, a waist and hips.

To the OP: somehow you never got the memo stating that your application for declaring the definition for the word curvy had been denied.
I can appreciate your distress and confusion.

Perhaps now that you know said application was denied, you can devote the time you would be spending on the things you have no control over to work on things you can actually have impact on.

I know that given your young age, it may be hard to believe...but you can really and truly have a happy life even if you don't get your way all (or even most) of the time.

SavageFaerie -> RE: Why are Big women called 'curvy'... (6/18/2009 6:09:27 AM)

Okay, now I am totally confuzzled.  Im not fat and im not skinny. Im a twenie.
At 4.9" (ppl check the size charts if you can find one under 5 foot. If not think 5 or 6 graders since I stopped growing in the 6th grade and was still the shortest one.
Right now Im 127 which puts me inbetween.  Part of this is due to medications taken while in the hospital and post hospital.  My stomach looks like a blimp, my bewbage is pushing past DD.
I would consider myself curvy, but I am not fitting the the skinny group by anymeans.

Take a look at lushys pics, I hate met her personally and there is no way she isnt perfectly curvious. I wish I could have the curves she has.

So what say you.....am I or am I not curvy according to your criteria?

signed, confzzled maybe maybe not curvy one.

I would go cry in my oreos but well I ate em all.

Babybass -> RE: Why are Big women called 'curvy'... (6/18/2009 6:10:07 AM)

Fast reply

When you start begrudging other people for freely exercising rights which are free to all of us then I feel you need to start seeking answers to deeper questions than you have been asking yourself to date.

KMsAngel -> RE: Why are Big women called 'curvy'... (6/18/2009 6:47:40 AM)

pirate, bear's thudded. i'll stand in his place to get hugged.

note tag line. it's nearly a pre-requisite for saying hi to me!

*waves to greedy*
