I came here a few days ago to check things out...to see if i could find another site to get involved with. I have heard for a few months now about collarme and some of the outstanding posts and people here that share their points of view.
Whoooaaaaa! i have been reading post after post....and is this He said/She said bullshit, lets tear each other apart to see who wins what this site is about??
I know my words are no more or no less important than anyone elses...and i really don't give a rats ass about that...what i found out in the last few days is (so far anyway) this is like any other chat site. I thought maybe i would be wrong. We will see. I will continue to chug away and read...perhaps post from time to time....try and get involved. Just my two cents of a thought.

You will get that wherever you go. The one thing I like is that the boards on one personals site are mostly politics, at least here the discussions are about BDSM. I prefer the boards here. Sometimes when you get many unique individuals expressing opinions, things get a bit heated, but the differences are what make for good discussion.

I am gonna have to pay more attention I think, cause I am not finding the threads with the "he said/she said" crap all over them and occasionally I appreciate a little bit of drama.

Welcome to the boards, by the way [:D] This place is the same as everywhere else, it is always what you make of it.

smilezz it is like every thing else you got to weed through the BS and those you are players to find some real beauty. There are some who must make them feel big about themselves by tearing other down. In the long run you can find true friends and those who do appriate your thought and wisdom. Those who destroy have small minds and those who create have an open mind to try new things. I hope those few bad apples do not chase you away from being yourself. I am open enough to enjoy your input and thought along with your own wisdom. We all got something to teach others of we are open enough to listen.

Any forum, any means of interaction, any medium would reflect the world that we live in!!! There are all kinds of people, and unfortunately, the majority is also reflected in these interactions! :-)

Thanks for all the replies so far, i really do understand that it is what i may make of it...i have been on enough boards over the years to make my own conclusions also. I look forward to the contact with others...i look forward to sharing thoughts and ideas..i look forward just being able to read too.

I'm of the opinion the best way to improve a site is to contribute. Whining about board conflict isn't the best way to do that. Complaint posts usually only invite more conflict.

I'm sad we don't meet your expectations. Even so, I'm going to have to take a pass on actually proving to you that we really are outstanding.

No this isn't what this site is about. There is some of that when ideas and personalities clash. But i think if you read further you will see it's about supporting each other, learning, entertainment, and safety. I especially like the health and safety forum, lots of good info there. I suggest you search some older threads and find some topics that interest you and see what you can learn from them. If you want to search a topic set the days to 365 at the top and enter the topic at the bottom for each appropriate forum.

Being the dominate type, I enjoy the controversey and the heated discussions. The give and take. If you want information, go to the medical site. If you want to see Doms and Dommes quip and tease each other go to the general discussion. Wide smile, the submissive/slaves get in here also. I enjoy this site more than I have any other. I particularly enjoy the fact that here I can relax and just be me. Welcome to the kitchen, we tend to heat the air. Sundew

I find that usually (and I fell victim to this at first) People misunderstand the sites and the messages on the boards. I have been in quite a few chat rooms where nobody will chat with anybody except the regulars, I find here to be more open to newcomers. However if you sit in the background and just read posts you are a mere spectator at a wonderful event.

Welcome smilezz,

I'm finding less backbiting here than the average message board, although of course there's always some. I do tend to be optimistic, and pass over those few who are less than kindly.

On these message boards, its sometimes an interesting mixture. Naturally some of the more dominate types are not necessarily gentle, but I've mostly been treated with respect, and I'm learning things from everyone.

I pretty much like it here, and hope you will too!

Actually Estring...You are correct! as well as a few others here are/were...after coming from another couple of sites that i have been on, i lumped this one with those too. I am big enough to say that i was wrong...and after a few posts that i have replied to and have been reading....i can say that this site seems to have some good content.
I don't really have alot of time to visit the chat rooms, although i have a few times...but i do get to read the posts and that was what mattered to me in the first place.
